Always recommend you have a few different types of payment mechanism available (I.e. try to keep an Mastercard / VISA and AMEX available).

Apple Pay is instant.Everyone going on about Apple pay and Android, surely there is a delay in taking your money? Much like paying pa the pump?
I'm old enough to remember when the only way to pay for most things was cash and the only way to get cash was to go into a bank between 09:30 and 15:30 monday to friday only (unless it was a bank holiday, when the banks would be closed) or keep it from your wage packet (which was a literal packet with cash in it).
