It's too hot :(

Another awesome day out in the sun. Tennis for 2 hours this morning, sunbathing and watching the football in the afternoon and just finished a BBQ. 3 months of this or hotter please :)

It's too DRY and hot here in Cornwall.

It hasn't rained - other than superficially - for well over a month. That's unheard of down here.

Everything being grown in pots is dying.

Same here 300 miles east. Water everything in pots or its dead. The veg patch too.

Precursor to skin cancer ;)

Fixed it for you (I know someone who got exactly that from the mediterranean sun).

Cant you set up a sprinkler? Back when we used to have proper summers when these prolonged dry periods were common, we had a sprinkler running off the hosepipe, my old man would usually put it on around 10pm and leave it running all night.

Have you any idea how much that would cost?! Just about everywhere is metered these days. Well it is around here at anyrate.

Bah.

We've got six water butts for watering the garden, each is about 210 litres. Five are empty now, so going to be on tap water soon.

I'm thinking of ordering one of those 1000 litre 1m cubed industrial liquid shipping containers. Just need to get one that was transporting something like orange juice, and not Agent Orange :p

All our butts ran dry weeks ago.

Find a local fishkeeper who might give you a very good deal on their waste water, it's liquid fertiliser, your plants will love it.;)

Interesting idea. I was looking at the dead space we have between our garage and fence. Would need to be reasonably narrow but easily feed from the garage roof and hidden from view.

Problem is sitting in aircon all day make it feel much worse when you have to go out.

Luckily our government owned building has no aircon (or working heating), because they value the staff :p
