No TURBO...... Or Elite badges either......

Agreed the insignia looks decent from the outside but they all feel so cheap and tacky on the inside. I know they are a more budget manufacturer but they don't seem to be much better than something from the likes of Suzuki.

At least they're not like Audi who still include the fact that the engines have electronic fuel injection in their badging! :p
Like bmw who still put an 'i' on the end of their badges? At least with Audi it is free to have them debadged...

Surely every single engine option is turbo now?

Pretty much you can still get a 1.0 Viva & 1.6 Astra non turbo engine.

I think most manufacturers are making more small engine Petrol turbo cars now tbh.

I meant you can have it new without the Turbo badging if you desire....

The other 3 are listed as 'BiTURBO'
Ive seen a few Astra’s and Insignia’s kicking about with BiTurbo aswell. Why would anyone want the expense of a potential double Turbo replacement on a cheap family hatch such as the Astra. It’s just a headache that’s not needed on that type of car. They are not even particularly fast either.
Makes me laugh when I drive past my local Vauxhall dealer with all the new Insignias and Mokka’s/Astra’s every single one parked up on the front has TURBO or TURBO D on the rear it looks so naff. Just a cheap attempt at making a 140bhp car sound fast. The only business they seem to get is recovery trucks turning up to drop cars off for fixing.

Went to a little s2000 meet yesterday 10-11 cars in total :)

Awesome! I do miss my S2000, they're really great cars. @Rilot is spot on about every petrolhead needing to own one at some point. They've not really changed in value too much over the last couple of years at least. The top end of the market is ridiculous, but you can get in a good facelift one for £12k which isn't so far off what I paid for mine in 2011.

@crinkleshoes - not sure a S2000 would be quite as fun as the SR3 or 720S on a track (can confirm the Honda is a lot of fun on track), but I reckon even the M4 can't properly stretch its legs on the average B road whereas the Honda would be screaming at 9,000 rpm and you can properly use the thing to its limits.
