The Volta Titan V Owners Thread

I just managed to pick up a second titan v for £1950... brand new and sealed it its box. I figured that no matter what comes out I should be fine technology wise. I might miss out on the new hdmi adapters and leds.
but thats about it. my first one was stolen in the post btw... got my money back and bought the one I have now, another 300 pounds cheaper. bargain if you ask me.

Do you think I should close this thread and delete it?

There much point keeping it open? There's you and one other random guy that posts here once in a blue moon that bought the cards. I don't foresee many others jumping on board considering the cards been out 8 months now. :p

You never know when faster gaming cards come along people may eat a few up on the second hand market especially if they game and need compute power. There is no harm in the thread though even if that does not happen.

There is every point in keeping it open.

When someone does an owners thread they should be impartial regardless of whether the vendor is AMD or NVidia or if there are 2 or 200 owners.

What should not be happening in owners threads is people posting stuff that is not related to the card like the quote below.

7 pages for 2 people, amazing . Probably the most pointless owners thread...EVAR!

This is not in the least bit helpful and adds nothing useful to the thread.

I think you'll find probably a good portion of the posts in the thread add nothing to it. How many posts for example are people just going "wtf" at the price? I've not counted them but i'd say its a healthy chunk.

And I wish those people would stay out of owner's threads, any owner thread. Owners thread should be for the owners of the cards, people who are thinking about buying one or at the very least for those people who might not be considering buying one, but are curious about the cards and have questions that sometimes get lost in all the crap posted in other threads.

There are lots of threads to complain about the pricing or whatever else people want to complain about. People can even start their own threads. But why people feel the need to come in to the owners thread and just start crap talking and belittling the people who bought the cards is beyond me. Your "7 pages for 2 people, amazing . Probably the most pointless owners thread...EVAR!" is an example of this. Why do you care? You aren't paying for the forum space, you aren't paying for the cards.

Just like Kaap said, the owners thread should be impartial and it shouldn't matter if there are 2 or 200 owners and crap posts like yours should be kept out them.
