Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

Lol. Yeah. It is just another marketing tactic. Sure it is a lot closer now, but until I see a game that is made using ray tracing, I am not too bothered. I however glad to see any new tech that brings us closer to that day.

Imagine Crysis being remade using Ray Tracing? :D

At 640x480?

I think Nvidia should get DX12 support sorted before getting concerned with ray traced games. Talk about running before you can walk.

DX12 and hardware async compute..... AMD has it there since 2013 for heaven sake. And on games that are using hardware async compute, the ancient 290X beats even the GTX1060 6GB for heaven sake.

Take a look at how NVIDIA decimates AMD in this new game as well!
Stop coming up with false theories based on one game!

Decimates? Those AMD figures are nowhere near 10x worse than the Nvidia ones.

Lol. 3 grand for a graphics card.

What the PC badly needs from these new cards is a really strong/well supported £250-£300 card. A R9 290 for 2018.

Keep dreaming, the R290's only got to that and less due to them being phased out for the more pricey R290 (eg R390) and there was a glut of the cards in the market due to the first bitcoin bursting
