Geforce GTX1180/2080 Speculation thread

Well I'm scraping 125pm for a mortgage and have 200 spare per month, I don't think saving 200PM for an RTX is good use of savings. Priorities and that lol. I'm not as ambitious as you that's why you can splash the money on sports cars and GPU's.

Sorry will didn’t mean any disrespect mate you do right

Quite disappointed - deflated even. Several warning indicators - high price, HDMI 2.0, no big efficiency improvements, only 8/11GB VRAM again, most of the AIB designs are very dull - even the FE outshines them

Currently have 970 which I remember was an exciting launch as the price was very reasonable back then

Ive got a Nano S ITX case so one GPU fan is occluded by the PSU and I've not got much air outflow - as was expecting another blower FE this time!

So prob have to hope for a bottom end price 2070 to stand a chance of 4K - otherwise its consoles (esp as PC games prices have also become stupid)

It does look good, but not at the price increase they're demanding.

Have any of the tech sites said anything yet? Just wondering what the reception to it all is. I'd imagine there are quite a few unhappy people.

I got my pre-order in just so I get my card before the gaming season starts. If it doesn't kill my Xp @2g I'll refund, if it does then I'll get mine on the 13th before the hype starts and all of a sudden the price isn't that bad and it's out of stock everywhere. I seem to remember the 8700k went the same way.

People moaning about the price should have worked harder at school, I don't cry I can't afford a Lambo, I except I wasn't born into it and my Job isn't up to scratch, there's plenty of other cars to enjoy, motoring isn't going down the pan and neither is PC gaming - what a load of old bum hurt ****.

$499/£500 is the absolute minimum you'll find the 2070 for.

The 2070 FE is £570, and AIB board partners will likely want to charge the same if not more.

Il guess at the fact the uk one includes our tax. They can’t really give a price for the US ones with tax as each state is different.

Yeah. As others have said I forgot the founders edition tax. So should have been $599. Was just going by the from $499 at the end of the keynote.

As i said, these RTX effects are years away from being mainstream, anyone buying now is being duped bigtime....

So if the most expensive 2080ti is like £1300 and the entry ones are say £1100, i can still buy an Xbox One X, 4K HDR TV, 1 years Sub to Xbox Gold, Game Pass, Netflix and Amazon, a headset, extra controller and maybe a game or something lol.... After a year with that lot i bet theres still not many games using these RTX features that i will be *missing* heh

Yup been saying it myself for the past few years now but people just refuse to accept it.

As usual, the only ones to blame though is the customers........

Got absolute dogs of abuse for slating original Titan pricing when it all began by saying all this would happen-all that 'no divine right to be able to afford one' ********, slowly but surely they are turning on themselves.;)
