If you cannot understand the chap from AdoredTV's Scottish accent then must have never heard one before,as his accent is nothing - try a really deep Scottish accent then you will find it hard to understand. Also last time I checked Scotland and Wales have their own national languages and the accents come from that and if people don't understand that it means they need to actually try getting out of their room and travel the country.

That explains some tubers like the one below endorsing preorders to get or keep free samples. Nvidia have probably put the word out.

Probably. Watched jayztwocents opinion and the moment he said he thought the pricing was actually good value I unsubscribed. It also has quite a few dislikes lol.

He does it every year with releases so he can get his free cards from nvidia. Even though the vast majority of videos he makes are utter trash.

Another dick move by Nvidia? Or justified?

What's the point of NVIDIA sponsoring someone who is going to say negative things about them? What sort of promotion is that?
There is plenty of negative opinion about the new cards on the net. If you are being sponsored in some way by NVIDIA you should just keep your negative opinions shut (if you're bothered about retaining the deal)- what can you add of any help? It's not like we even know the details of what the performance of the card will be actually like on release.

Frankly I wouldn't trust anyone who didn't review hardware they'd bought with their own money.

Reviewers who get "free samples"? Yeah, no thanks. They will, consciously or sub-consciously, be afraid to give negative reviewes out of fear of being cut off from their free stuff.

It's just a bad place to be. Either buy the hardware you review, or accept that you can't be 100% unbiased.

Unless it's a big channel, they won't buy it because of the lack of money being made.

The issue is even if the RTX2080 is 30% to 35% faster overall over the GTX1080 under 4K,without HDR,the issue is AMD does not have anything to compete even with that.

If this has been ATI,they would have had a response,ie,like when the GTX200 series came along at a big price for the era,and ATI undercut it massively with the HD4000 series.

Oh, come no, that's rose coloured glasses right there. AMD/ATI back then had nothing for years. Remember the 8800 series came out, they had nothing in response. Nor had they anything to compete with the 9 series cards from Nvidia, which were all just rebranded 8 series cards and some of them were still been rebranded and used in the 200 series cards.

Just wow:

https://www.hardocp.com/news/2018/0...ship_for_stance_against_preordering_hardware/

Nvidia has allegedly taken a hard stance against a sponsored streamer and influencer from India for expressing his opinion about preordering hardware. PC Peasants co-hosts Rohin Bhaumik and Archishman "fett" Pradhan were conducting a podcast about the unveiling of the new Nvidia RTX lineup when the subject of preordering came up at the 5 minute and 7 minute mark in the video below. Both discussed getting burned in the past by preordering The Division based on a trade show trailer. Then they gave many reasons why they were against preordering hardware without real world benchmarks by reviewers.
According to Rohin Bhaumik this was considered "improper conduct" and his entire gaming rig he had received as an Nvidia sponsorship had to be returned. When asked why he lost his LG, HyperX and Zotac sponsorships, he responded, "It was a package deal man."
