Faster with more cores enabled is the impression i get from some of the forums i post on. Similar thing they done with titan x then titan xp. May or may not be the case, if they did have one with more cores that would surely be getting into quadro territory?

There is only one SM disabled on the 2080ti, the full chip is the quadro yeah, so if yields ever presented themselves they could do a titan, but it would be a tiny fraction faster

Genuinly wasn't planning to get one of these cards due to how overpriced they are, I was going to stick with my 980ti until it dies or can't hold the FPS I like anymore, however after reading an article on it by the editor of Tom's Hardware I've decided to splurge for a 2080ti on payday.

Not even Tena for Men takes as much **** as Nvidia does right now.

Ha, good one :D I agree. I can hardly justify spending more than 500 on a single component. Granted, I am still sitting with an overclocked 2500k and 980, so I guess I am not an authority on spending huge sums :D

They've sold out of the Nvidia edition until later in the year in the US. Also this poll will contain some people choosing not interested that weren't going to be interested anyway.
Everybody secretly wants a 2080 Ti, and would love to fondle Jensen's... leather jacket; if only we weren't such peasants of limited means.

Us poor peons will have to dream of basking in the musty scent of dead cow and Jensen's body odour, whilst imagining the sense of satisfaction that must surely come from owning the most over-priced GPU in history.

So jealous.

I don't want one...there is 1100 in my bank but not for a GFX card...other things would stimulate me more :p

2x BK electronics Subwoofers
Money toward a new OLED

Erm...

Loads of things than a few fps in games...:p

It not a satire article, it actually puts a lot of the pros/cons of getting one in perspective and helped me make the decision by raising points nobody else was.

Wow, just... Wow! Surely you're able to recognize an extremely poor article? Go watch Gamers Nexus' response video and let's get some sense into you :D

And while you are on YouTube, watch the latest WAN show about the RTX series. Specifically note their very valid point of how with every big new thing (RTX here) the first capable cards are bad at it and it's always another one or two generations after that to be truly capable.

Here, I made it easier for you. :p

You no want one but have made 46 replies in a thread of something you don't want :D

The worst thing is it's looking more and more like we aren't going to get a meaningful jump in performance over the previous generation despite 2 years passing and a massive price increase

I'm not so sure it won't be a significant increase. If not, then not in the traditional sense but still a massive jump; RT capabilities, AI/tensor cores. It's one of the most notable architectural leaps since a long time.

Someone said 50%!!!

If you look the graph they did where instead of raw fps they use tricks like 1.5 or or 2.0 it looked poor some games like PUBG where we need the perf looked poor. And then they started with the raytracing to hide the numbers. I believe they expect people to judge this by raytracing numbers? What happened to 4K at good framerates first?

You always got at least double your old fps when you waited two years and bought a like for like replacement like the 1080 to 2080. If they do not deliver this and charge more than the £615 the 1080 was going for they can keep it. Raytracing will be one of the first things i disable because 240hz is the biggest upgrade anyone can make right now. And all my money for Christmas looks like it will be spent on the MSI NXG251 240hz. Jensen can go to hell with his raytracing and overpriced sub par product and Intel can go to hell with thier overpriced vulnerable garbage too.

Also the AI cores are garbage... you do not need supersampling at 4K so fanboys should stop using this as an excuse or as an example of a leap. It is a tacked on excuse to milk people and clearly give less performance what you gained in RT you lost in raw fps mark my words...
