I remember how many people said no way to paying 1k+ for an iPhone X
And now I see loads of people with them...
I bet the same going happen with this 1k 2080ti
Those saying they will leave the PC master race it will not happen trust me I've tried many many times.
Already jumped ship before the mining bonanza. Miss it but not tempted back, especially after seeing these price brackets. Not even a case of affordability, just a case of the money being better spent elsewhere.
I'm thinking a nice 4K projector. Maybe a laser one. I'd get much more enjoyment for me and the fam.
Price is mental and I deserve the hate (which I am sure will come) but all my OT goes in savings, so **** it, time to treat myself.
I think everyone knows how inaccurate that poll is, out of the 89% of No's so far, at least half of them will indeed buy a 2080Ti, its cooler to just say no, go with the masses but secretly buy one without saying anything.
Can't we have a option for a simple NO?
Just ordered a damaged box PS4 PRO from Ebay for £315 quid with fortnite included! and I’ve still spent less than I would have on the 2080Ti and still have a 1080ti!
I can use this with my 4k predator screen then decide whether I want to quit pc gaming full stop
You no understand
People pay 90% of the price so they can have RTX 2080ti in there sig....
Ooooo that hurt. A low blow hunny
They're not helping themselves there, that's for sure. Considering how late vendors got hold of the cards I doubt there's many benchmarks outside of NV to speak of yet, though.
This poll is more encompassing and more interesting
1070's sold well previously so I'm assuming it's more about the mindset of forum members that there's little interest below the Ti this far being shown on OCUK.
I suspect it's a bit of dramatization before many later cave in . I think the GPU's will really shine later.
I can understand why the keynote had no mention of performance vs current GPU's. 20 series are more forward facing.
Havent voted yet as unsure. I think my answer is "No" but to see what the next 6 months bring. It's great NV have released the technology now. PRice is high, sure. I don't game enough and enjoy old titles hence I feel no need to buy one at the moment.
I think the new FE design is great.
I'm sure there are plenty of people who don't care about who gets a 2080ti either.
I won't be. First time in 20 years that I've not brought a top tear card on release - sign of the times I think.
