The Jose Mourinho Appreciation Thread

I'm in the Jose corner, Pogba is good but not great and his attitude is always in question for a reason, he is a moron on and off the field.

It's bloody clear his tactics are those of a fossil who refuses to change and work in the new reality of football, it's technical and the details matter. You don't put a bus out and expect to win anymore. Just doesn't work that way unfortunately for him.

Similar to the sort of criticism being flung at Wenger when he was at Arsenal ie not willing to change his tactics.

It’s not just Pogba, reports are that most of the players are unhappy with Mourinho. I think Pogba has been well out of order and his ego is causing problems, especially as his performances are often average.

There’s only one way this ends, for most managers, let alone Mourinho...

**** it, sell him for peanuts and buy him again for £200m in a few years. The whole club seems to have an attitude problem.

Well I’ve been reading that Barca may make a play for him come Jan. if he’s really that toxic then sell to him Barca and be done with him.

I wish you meant Mourinho, I really do :(
I think Pogba is a pain, but Mourinho is higher on the list of aggravations to me.
Lol I don’t think Barca would touch Mourinho with a million foot pole. At this moment I’m not sure which team would take him now due to his issues at Utd.

To me he is the problem at Utd, pretty sure getting rid of him would get you better results than what you are getting now. The players don’t seem to want to play for him anymore. Hell even Moyes would do a better job than Mou at the moment.

I just don't see us selling Pogba, he clearly has a problem with Mourinho not the club. If results don't improve Mourinho will be gone by christmas imo.

Because Fergie knew how to keep control. He was a master of it. He sold many great players in their prime because he realised that the team is more important than one individual.

And don't forget Fergie was backed unconditionally by the club in those situations, will be interesting what happens around the transfer window because if they sell Pogba then it's a statement that they will give Jose the same backing they gave Fergie, if not (who knows Jose may already be gone by then) it could be that they are letting player power win.

That is debatable. And one of those, Stam he wrote about how much he regretted that decision. If anything Fergie was a master at knowing when he could afford to lose a player and when he couldn't. Look at how he overlooked Keane's prawn sandwich rants or dealt with Cantona.

Again this is incorrect, Fergie was stopped signing players as well. Off the top of my head we pulled out of deals to sign Batistuta, Davids and Kluivert because of the money involved.

I was actually referring to when he sold the 'trouble' makers, he wanted rid so got rid and was (at least on the public face of it) backed by the club.

Keane's prawn sandwich rant was hardly trouble causing, it put some people's nose's out of joint but wasn't causing dressing room problems (I would imagine Fergie agreed with Keane as well) but when Keane became an issue he was happy to ship him out.

He shipped Keane out when it was clear he wasn't good enough for the club any more. Make no mistake if the player was still good Fergie went out of his way to keep them.

All the Pogba disgust is just because he's a public character under the spotlight. By all accounts Mourinho has ****** off half the first team with his antics.

If we lose on Tuesday he'll be gone now. Even if the ship stables he'll be gone at the end of the season
