Woman spent £16m in Harrods and is asked to explain where she found the loose change.

If they can prove this is the case then no but think about this for a second..... Will those people she stole from get the money back? No. So whats the point?

Well said, I absolutely love people who have their thinking cap on and aren't blind sheep lapping up anything they are fed with.

This is why it's just a charade to establish that only the elite can spend money on this level. Think about it, it's not the elite that's being affected, it's the golddigger, the innocent victim whos being affected.

Any money transferred between two citizens is the problem they don't like people being given gifts, they want to tax every single transfer.

It's the same as drugs laws, they just use law to drive up the price of selected vegetables, and then use addicts to collect and generate cash through crime such as burglary and stealing off your family, and then you have the the dealers who are are just pawns holding on to the cash, but technically it's basically a holding account for the government because it's all proceeds of crime.

What ever happened to innocent until proved guilty? This seems more like guilty unless you can prove it, which is a lot harder to do!

Absolutely. I've been warning about the steady erosion of every civil liberty for the past decade or so. People just don't care.

The "bankers wife" example is just mind control because everyone hates the bankers, and their wife getting 16mil many gold diggers must be jealous even if it's totally legit money. But people don't realise that when it's their own wife and children being scrutinised because you bought her a nice car or you kids have nice shoes or something, it will be too late.

Oh really.

If you buy a house you will be asked where the money came from. By the solicitor working for you, because of anti-laundering law.

Yeah that is something separate. In fact it says "She also bought a house close to her favourite shop and a golf course in Berkshire." So if she managed to buy a house wasn't that money legit then?

Donald Toon, the National Crime Agency’s director of economic crime, has revealed that if the High Court rules Zamira Hajiyeva had used fraudulent funds any property and money seized from her would be returned to her native country.

Mr Justice Supperstone has ordered that she must comply with the UWO order and explain how she acquired her wealth. Her lawyers, who issued a statement insisting the order did not imply any wrongdoing on behalf of their client, are arguing that she is the wife of a legitimate businessman.
The "legitimate businessman" of whom she is alleged to be the wife appears to be resting in jail at the moment ;)

The house was bought by a company.

I don't think you have any idea how much money laundering, fraud, and corruption goes on. You have to crack down on it hard.
