PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS - Thread

You can play a decent game on faceit, even if you're not that good. It's pretty good when you join other players who are as good or better than you and you go far. It's a breath of fresh air when you find the right bunch.
Also good to mix it up and play some good strategy. If you tend to play as a good teammate, sharing loot and reviving, you'll usually be treated as a decent player.

I found time for a quick game yesterday and I got the load screen for a bit then I heard the plane moving and next thing myself and everyone else is suddenly brought in game and dumped in the same corner of the island together.

Game runs fine on my ageing rig tbh, i2500k and 1080ti and a ultra wide monitor always has done, I get the odd sound glitch now and then but that is probably down to dodgy my ageing sound card.

As for the community its evil :)

I always get screamed at for not dropping into the busiest parts of Sanhok but rather I drop into the small compounds next to them, I'm usually the only left alive after 2-3 minutes.

Not dropping with your team kinda sucks though. You're putting your team at a disadvantage.

You really should drop with your team. The parts around may/rarely will be ok to kit up one person but not a full squad, and as scott says you are putting them at a disadvantage

team unity play is very important. if you not going to drop together revive each other basics. pointless playing squads. still frustrating seeing people knocked people not smoking for pick ups without asking and the like. i dont pick people up who do stupid moves. i hope they learn from it. :D

I think your post needs some context before we can accurately respond.

If your friends are dropping bootcamp or paradise and you drop to the outskirts, then it's not quite as bad as your friends dropping to pai-nan and you going to the little village north of it.
The majority of people don't come out of bootcamp alive from the sheer amount of people who drop there.

It's a difficult one to debate, as you can
- drop bootcamp/paradise over and over to up your low skill level pretty quickly
OR
- you can drop bootcamp to kill all the low skill level guys. (depending on your skill level)

I guess it would make sense to do what you're doing, if your team never seem to leave bootcamp alive, no matter what you do.

I think it helps if you start off doing 'warm' drops like Khao/Sahmee/Ha-Tinh/Pai Nan together first. Once you consistently win those fights as a team you should progress to Paradise/Bootcamp.

i dont get why people drop khao myself. mongnai has better easier to loot and less visited than khao. if theres five left in plane 4 will go khao :D . people often asscioiate better loot with big places when it isnt true. you can often get far better loot in smaller places more close together. the more you play the more you see this. **** fields also has a three vest literally all the time. ;) . camps are often very poor loot vs reward and time danger. many people drop on the camps. in squads thats most of the loot diluted instantly. so the only real reason to drop on them is for instant action. not for loot.

I have no friends, they all play on console so I play random squads which usually goes with my squad mates dropping at the boot camps or paradise probably 8/10 games. So I drop in the compounds near them as I don't want instadeath. If i'm lucky one of them will make it out and we go on to maybe top 10 place. It's very rare I get a squad that fully makes it out alive complete, if ever.

Maybe i'm playing it wrong but I don't see the point in dropping in to die over and over in the first few minutes of a match, it must get boring eventually?

get on the unofficial OcUK discord. you'll have plenty of folk happy to have you in their team.

Generally its mixed up, a lot on here take it semi serious and will work outside and walk in going for the win nothing wrong with that, Others just play for the social and fun side of things and not really bothered about a win/lose but more about having a laugh, I fall into the later and a hot drop into camp is always shizzles and giggles. Its also the most satisfying if the entire squad comes out alive, but again will be at a disadvantage as you do not drop boot camp for loot :)

I'm not going back to check, but i'm pretty damn sure that's exactly what you got called out for during your Pubg 'heyday' of winning all your games! Bailing and going somewhere else because 3 others in your squad didn't understand the game as well as you. What a hypocrite!

your talking about one of the first games i played on discord. i was vocal about it. i was learning to play with different people. now i have decent players on ocuk discord i know how they play they know how i play. its very important in squad knowing what people will do wont do. especially if you want to win regular not just drop and die everygame. circle knowledge is probably 60 percent of pubg yet many dont still understand it. its great being a good shooter but if you have bad circle knowledge or gameplay sense you wont win many games. see it regular with players. some great shooters for eg like grimm but lack any kind of circle knowledge.

so no not a hypocrite just that situation was a new game in squads with players never played with. now the difference is i know what they will do. bad or good. what to expect. if i play with bishie i know he will pick me up instantly if needed. if im with locky i know me or him can wipe a whole squad on our own. thats the difference between winning odd game to winining loads . this season im on 87 wins for this month. some dont like me for how i play or say do this or that it does work though. thats why we win and those that whine about it dont. ;)
