******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

In very few circumstances with games I’ve seen my ram tipping over 16gb. I think it will still be fine for years to come but if your the sort of 10years per pc person then 32 may be the way to go.
Yeah I am. Having a 4.7GHz 4770K has given me little reason to upgrade. I could probably actually easily get 10 years out of it.

Will definitely go 32gb.

My main issue atm is server side, either getting DC'd or not being able to connect at all of being 'on hold' in position 99 of the queue! (the lack of cheesy call centre music was disappointing :) ) . It's an alpha so I'll let them off but it does mean I'm yet to actually make it to the Expo!

I landed a little too far away and had to go back to my ship to close the distance, you don't realise the distances when in a ship.

Anyway, from Loreville to the Crashed Satellite :)

Its 1440P tho it may not yet be encoded at that res.

Have you tried choosing a difference zone to join? Normally it's set at "best" but if you join US servers when they are mostly asleep...

Origin Expo.

Complete with a seek peak at the very log awaited 300 series rework, the 300 series, spastically the 325A is one of my favourite ships, i have been waiting years for it to get updated... i like the new look, as you can see in the video i get a little excited :D

Also included a close look at the 600i, its such a beautiful piece of sculpture, it really is....

Well i have changed my ships now. I have the Anvil Arrow and the Anvil Terrapin.

I love the Arrow such a sleek cool little ship and i love the Terrapin but will probably change it this week. I nearly bought the 600i Explorer but just dont think i like the shape even though i appreciate it as a piece of sculpture like humbug said.

So after all my issues with using streaming tech to play the game, I finally worked out that CIG have changed the coding for how they interact with a mouse and take control. I used virtualhere to pass my Logitech mouse to the game machine and streaming now works fine, have an issue with the mouse pointer not showing and therefore it makes the nav map awkward but everythng else works well enough, have only 8GB of Ram so that caused trouble in Lorville etc.

Its come a long way since I was able to play with 2.6 and its much improved, the planetary tech is pretty cool and interactions are much better. I can see the base game starting to develop now and its showing promise but it has a long way to go. Might drop back in with a basic purchase as I got refunded in Jan all my backing due to my issues now that I have mouse working again, but not sure... all my cool ships are 'gone' and I wonder if I should just stay out again... my PC is haswell xeon e3 with 8gb ddr and 1070GTX, would throwing in another 8gb actually make it more playable in lorville or is the machine getting too long in the tooth now?

can u rent the 600i?

Yes, hurry up they will change the Expo in a few hours from now, tho if you get it before the change you have it for 24 hours.

Can’t wait for today’s ships to change to aegis. Going to get my favourite ship back instead of getting a hammerhead.

You probably know what ship it is haha!

Thought i would make a short video of the Anvil Arrow in action, but the NPC ships are borked in 3.3.6.

Still here it is, its a great little ship and not a bad price at £76 https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/ships/anvil-arrow/Arrow#buying-options i say not bad; all the mid to high end ship prices are in my view too high... but, you can buy in for £30 so you don't need to spend that much to play the game and its not as if the £30 buy-in ships are bad, the Mustang is one of my favourite ships, its a great ship, i also like the Aurora's.
