******Official Star Citizen / Squadron 42 Thread******

Can anyone recommend a cheapish HOTAS to use with this game? Nothing fancy, something just to enhance the gameplay a bit.

T- flight from Thrustmaster

T16000 is a better stick by a mile but having a separate throttle is more fun

If you want to spend more there is a big jump to the Saitek X56 etc but check out the members market they do pop up there at nice prices a few times a year

I still like the freelancer, the cutlass is also kinda fun... couldn't get the prospector working... I think I've finally realised that I do not need multi-crew ships i.e. the constellation as I find them too cumbersome and probably won't have time to fly with friends!

Same here, i have put 500$ into the game with the grand intentions of owning some of the bigger ships. I have realised they are just too big.

I don't know, we would have no issue crewing larger ships if the group system worked better, my worry is the time it would take for someone to join us if we'd already got in site eg in an Orion with escort.

30+ mins to get there would be frustrating as hell

My advantage in hindsight is that I had a complete refund so all my original ships where gone and now I've just backed with a mustang for the moment.. That is sufficient for me and I might upgrade to a bigger ship later, but no more than 1 or 2 crew; i.e. pilot and remote AI gunner perhaps. any more and I will get in game... Doesn't stop me getting a constellation Andromeda for pure freight runs but I'm not going to back to that level again.

Still one of my favourites. Not sure whether it has much purpose in the long run.

Currently got the Phoenix. Enjoying some down time on the way to Hurston. Will probably melt tomorrow.

Don't do what i did last night, merrily sat in quantum travel and thought i know i'll go see if i can open the rear door too my avenger.
Left merrily floating in deep space whilst my avenger carries on to Hurston!

Is the Constellation Aquila flayable with just one person, or does it require a multi crew to operate?

I only have the Mustang right now, but in the new year I’ll likley get a bigger ship, and I love the look of the Constelation, plus there’s the Ursa Rover that comes with the Aquila.
Is there any real difference between the Adromeda and Aquila? Is the Adromeda big enough to store a land vehicle such as the Ursa Rover or dragon fly?

Cheers guys, sorry for all the questions, despite backing Star Citizen a few years ago, I have only really began to start playing and messing around in it

Yeah you can fly the Connie solo, you can fly all ships solo currently and when crew requirements come in you will be able to hire NPCs to man necessary stations :)
