2080ti dead within 2 hours ?

hi guys, so i got my 2080ti today installed it running fine around 7 pm got into tomb raider got met with a dxgi error device hung and said problem with device driver and may not have enough memory. so had a fiddle rebooted uninstalled drivers with ddu reinstalled 4 different versions , and every time my pc goes into some black screen boot loop

HardOCP had a similar problem.

The failure rate of these cards makes me seriously question how long they'll last when the warranty period ceases..

@Gibbo, would the powers that be let you tell us what % RMA rate OCUK is getting for 2080ti since launch?

Any way we can order a pre-tested card for a small fee? or is that a legal minefield...

Very much so . thought after being unemployed for a while and things on the up i would treat myself to some new toys . well nvidia says no lol

Unlucky. Did you get an FE model or an AIB one? If you had an FE one replace it with an AIB card they seem to be have a lot less problems.

At least you have the record for the fastest failure ever on a 2080Ti. :p

Oh, just read your post about going back to an AMD card. It's very hard to go back. Would try again with a 2080Ti and hope that it works. Chances are on your side that it will be fine.
