OK then, lets take the official dollar MSRP of both the 1060 6gb....

1060s were £290 on release. 8meg non blower AMD 480s were £250 back then.

£/$ was 1.55 pre brexit vote and iirc about 1.45 about the time of the 1060 release 2 months on, but might have been decided at the 1.55 rate.

The new Nvidia way, sell their new card one tier up and pretend the performance increadeinc real, but actually you're just getting 1070Ti performance at same old 1070Ti pricing with some features it'll be too slow to use and 2GB of RAM shaved off. Nice.

you can't compare release prices in £ because the cards are priced in $, you have to go on dollar msrp's to compare release prices.

I don't think Navi will be as good as people hype it up to be considering the price point nvidia set for this. Surely nvidia knows at least a little bit about what AMD has in store.

£480 for a 2070 is the same price point as the £400 I paid for a 2 year warranty 1070 at release. You can't ignore inflation and currency devaluation when comparing release price points.

Same goes for the 1060 vs 2060 release price points. Whether its worth buying over the old model at its end of line price point is another matter!

I was talking about US RRPs,since this realistically is what other prices worldwide are converted from.

All I am seeing is the 60 series pushed up another tier. Its going to be fun when we get a RTX2050TI or a RTX2060SE for $250 to $300.

OK then, lets take the official dollar MSRP of both the 1060 6gb and the 2060 6gb, that way we can remove the UK's "currency devaluation"

1060 6gb - $249
2060 6gb - $349

so $100 increase between 1 generation. On a market segment that is more sensitive to prices. It's a joke price for a 60 class card.

I was talking about the US RRP too. RTX3060 6GB $450!!

Intel save us!! :p

I bought a 1070ti about a week ago at £350 and it's great, but I can't tell if I should regret it now..?

I'm kind of annoyed by this feeling :/, any thoughts?

Same boat here, have only had a 1070 Ti for about two weeks. It could depend on what resolution you're using. I'm on 3440x1440 and I doubt RTX will be useable on a 2060 at that res. Also of concern is the FFXV benchmark that got DLSS, which only supported upscaling to 4K. If DLSS in the future is going to be hit and miss when it comes to UW/1440p, not to mention even being only available in a limited number of titles, that's another thing that potentially justifies the 1070 Ti over a 2060. I've also already played one game that can use over 7 GB of VRAM at my res, so the extra 2GB will certainly be a plus for the 1070 Ti.

I'm fairly amazed the 1070+ series may be going EOL with the 2060 arriving. Wasn't there supposed to be tons of these cards left in stock for nvidia from the mining boom? Or was that just the 1060s?

Is rtx even useable on such a card?

I keep wanting to jump on a card but anything seems like a silly investment right now. Waiting it out till at least early Feb I think.

Form gamer's Nexus, yes it does 1080p at 60FPS. Not great but I think future titles will show better performance than BFV

Looks to be a pretty decent little card for those on a strict budget and who game at 1080p. That said, even though I do currently game at 1080p I'm still opting for the MSI RTX2070 Armour as I may be getting a 1440p monitor chucked my way later on.
