That was rather epic. Certainly caused those behind us to find another route!!
I've had that a couple of times...really need a report function.
That and quitting on the character screen because someone took 'their' one.

I like this game, but I'm having problems crashing to desktop, I can have a run of a few good games and then ones where it crashes constantly as soon as I jump just freezes for a second then I'm back at the desktop, I've just done a fresh install of Windows and first game it crashed. Anyone else have this problem?
I crash all the time too, seems pretty common there is a lot of reports on the forums and on reddit and other sites of crashes. I crash around 40% of the time, some of the crashes seem like a memory leak because my entire PC stop loading apps after one of them and I have to reboot. I have to say this is the worst game I have played since the 1990s as far as crashing goes, never had so many crashes in my life in a released game, plays like a early beta game or worse.
And when it doesn't crash in some games the net lag can be insane, like you are running in treacle and then rubber banding backwards and sideways, ugh sucks really because when you get a game that doesn't crash or lag the game is a ton of fun and very addictive.
What about people getting paired with brand new accounts? Last night I dropped relay and managed to knock 2 players with the 3rd knocking me. My team mates hid in a building while the 3rd revived everyone. I appreciate everyone has to start somewhere but my game time is precious and there's no point me hanging about if I can squeeze in another game.

People who are crashing have you tested your RAM? HCI or Ramtest?
I've been crashing more and more this weekend, but it's doubtful that it's hardware-related as I don't crash in anything else that I play. Numerous people in Discord this weekend were experiencing the same.
Anyway, I joined the Discord channel on Friday for the first time and found some games and enjoyed myself. I came back in again on Saturday evening and a few of us had a few good games as well. One of them was exceptionally close with us being second. Unfortunately we didn't make it but it was quite close.
I really wasn't into BR games with Fortnite and PUBG, but Apex Legends is a different affair. I like the squad focus and the characters. It makes it a rather enjoyable game to play.
Anyway, thanks for the games to those that I played with over the weekend. It was good fun! I should be on again tonight so I'll see who is on then!
So just had a game which i quit as guy admitted on our team cheats to win, got the screenshots as the dumb ass typed it in, he then voiced and said its a free win. Whilst I want to win I dont wanna be a winner due to some one cheating, anyone know where i can post the images to?
This post describes the issue that I've been having. I'll try the suggested fix tonight. Perhaps others might want to give it a go if they're experiencing the same circumstances. My game definitely freezes for about 5 - 10 seconds and then crashes. When the freeze occurs, I can hear everything still happening in the game. I've not checked my GPU utilisation but I expect it'll be 100% as described in that post.
Why do they see 100% GPU utilisation as a bad thing? 100% is exactly what you want unless you've capped FPS. My 970 has been sitting pretty on 100% since I started playing the game and not had a single CTD. Many red herrings flying around it seems?
Who is "they"? The post has been put up by a member of the community, and it's just a suggestion. Nobody has to try it. Me, I'll give it a go as crashing when you're playing in an organised squad really sucks. I left my squad-mates high and dry three times over the weekend because of it, so I'll try the suggestion (although I may not lower my settings, just try the FPS cap as I only play at 1080 anyway).
I wasn't so much focusing on the "100% GPU" as I was the fact that someone else has posted the exact same issue I've got and they've managed to work around it. I understand that GPU usage should normally be that high, it's more that the issue is rather specific and seems to be widespread. It suggested poor optimisation to me, but I'm not complaining given that the game launch was completely under the radar and it's a free game. I can cope with the issue until they identify and resolve it, but I'm happy to try things out if it may help in the interim.
I haven't personally had a CTD yet - but one of the guys I play with does every 10th game or so - even with running SLOBS

Reducing GFX settings is sometimes a good thing to do, to get better visibility, less ground clutter can make it easier to spot people!

Cant be my system, I play ghost recon, Warcraft, GTA5, DCS world, Black ops, and have zero crashes in any of those games for hours on end.
Does Bangalores Ult stun your own team as well? We were in the last 2 yesterday and team mate threw a crappy ult on top of us instead of the enemy when trying to cover us as we moved out to the circle and stunned us all so they easily killed us. But we weren't sure if it was maybe their airstrike or his...
