1800?!?!? Wow. What's your in game sensitivity?
I just play on default settings?!?!No idea lol, just what feels right to me, one mo I will check.
EDIT :4.7 ingame lol. Works well for me, I win probably 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 games. Though I suppose it all largely depends upon what you are used to. If I tried to play with 800dpi and 1 or 2 sensitivity I would be useless because its just not how I've played shooters for years.
My mouse is a Razer DeathAdder Elite.
I use 0.8 sensitivity with 800 DPI.What DPI and in game sensitivity are people using? I think I'm on 600 and 2.8 (or maybe 3) now.
Best change it to +fps_max 144 surely otherwise you'll be stuck at 100, unless the -freq 144 overrides it, in which case what's the point in the first bit?
I use 0.8 sensitivity with 800 DPI.
I never refuse an R-99, but you need to know your squad has your back when you go play Rambo with it. Specially if you play a legend with no escape tricks.
My cherry pick is the Spitfire, love that gun.
I guess I would go Spitfire > R301 > R99.

Able to record any game play? That's incredibly high sensitivity.

Every one quoting their sensitivity settings, what windows sensitivity are you at as it makes a big difference.
I'm using
6 windows
1.1 in game
0.7 ADS
800 dpi
at 1080p
So thought I would chuck a few things I have gathered from my 100 hours that might help those starting the game for the first time this weekend.
Feel free to disagree, add your thoughts.
Most are basic but if it's your day one you won't know it and it will help not annoy the random people you match up with.
At the legends screen, select the legend you want to main before you hit play. This will show your squadmates what your first choice is.
At the actual selection countdown screen if you are not first pick, put your cursor on the legend you would prefer to play. Your squadmates can see this and might let you take your preferred choice. If you are first pick wait a second to see if someone does this and maybe you would like to let them have their main.
If you are picking last (jump master) and do not select a legend the game will assume you are afk and will give jump master away.
Don't be afraid of being jump master if your new, if you want fighting experience drop skull town. If you want an easier ride but still with some drama, drop cascades.
Ping where you are going and jump at the 900m mark. Do not jump too late! or too early, 900m seems to be the sweet spot.
Fly through the air in a dolphin motion, diving to get up speed then leveling out /repeat.
If you are not jump master breakoff! from him before you land, and ping a house/building that you are going into, go into it and do not go into someone's pinged location.
Loot hard and fast, and assist your team mates quickly when you have some kit. Don't be afraid to request a wep if your having bad rng (inv screen, ping the empty slot) it happens...
Never drop bunker, like never ever drop bunker. Where don't we drop ever? Bunker. /personal opinion
Your going to die a lot, you can still help. If you just need a rezz move and hide as best you can, ping the enemy if you see them.
Do not expect a 911 response team to come and save you, rezzing leaves you very vulnerable in most situations it is best to deal with the threat and rezz afterwards.
So screaming at people to get you up is not going to go down well, Bangalore might be able to smoke rez you it's all situational, flow with it.
Life line can rez people faster sure, and the shield is nice, but it's also a beacon for hey throw a grenade in here/this is where we are hiding.
Going on from the above, it is best not to dieObvious right? Don't be afraid to back out of a fight. Recharge shields, use a medkit, what have you. Only you know what you can pull off, are they one shot? worth the risk to go in etc where is your team at. A quick reset and a shield battery can go along way and you will feel less disheartened with the game if you have less stupid deaths.
You got your squadmates banner? good.
Now what don't we do?, we do not loot our squadmates corpse. No we don't, do not do it. /Etiquette
Unless! it's a clutch situation, you need the ammo, or the shield to get out. Or you know the ring will swallow it up deeply at that, and it will be a lost cause going back for it.
Don't always use the nearest beacon, whilst 80% of the time it will be fine, sometimes it is best to go to the next nearest one, read the situation. A common mistake is using the artillery beacon very early on in the game. There is a safer option just outside, same with skulltown. If there are teams nearby you will get swatted on spawn.
Unless your squad is doing there bit to guard you on drop. Often they will drop you and run away. Making you a perfect target for the kill a respawned legend within 20 seconds of him landing badge.
The ping system is amazing. Use it, listen to it.
Ping for what you need, ping what you think others will need.
All throwables are good. Yes even the thermite has it's moments. Use them, don't sit on them. If you win the fight you will be restocking anyway.
Doors can be broken with melee or grenades. You can stand the otherside of one to buy yourself a couple of seconds of time to use that shield battery, hold for a resurrection but they can be kicked in.
You get better by engaging in fights, but if a squadmate pings an enemy 500meter away, it's for info only. Don't start opening up on them with your P2020, giving away your position. Get in range, flank them, read the situation.
That being said, there are 2 types of people that play this game, the type that just wan't to get into the top 3 and will blend in with the grass for 20minutes, and the type that will actively head towards gun shots. You need to be the second, seriously.
It is better to die in the first 5 mins than in the last 5 mins. /my opinion
If your squad can't win a random 3 vs 3 they are not likely to win the last one either, so it's just wasted time trying to hide it out, yes you get xp for staying alive but meh, kill or be killed, and the sooner the better.
/controversial in random matches but you can even fire shots in the air to bait teams to you, if you just want the game over and done with for better or worse. Best not to do this in random groups though.
The last bit of my wall of text, let the match play out. (unless your banner has expired) too often people will quit out when they die on drop. We have all done it out of frustration, but the victories that come from the slimmest of chances of pulling it off are amazing. If he has your banner, see where the game goes.
My best Apex moment was being respawned at the last remaining respawn beacon in the last 2 squads, wearing nothing but my boxers all hope was lost, teammate goes down, I loot a Kraber of all things (I hate snipers) and no scope the last guy as he runs to finish me off. /Just apex things.
All I can think of /basic stuff
Have fun guys![]()
