Right Wing terrorist attack in Surrey

Which is why a responsible parent will check what their kids are watching/looking at. Mine like a guy's kid friendly game channel called "DanTDM" but they tend to watch his shows on a smart TV rather than on a tablet. On the tablet they play Minecraft, Roblox and Lego Boost.

Tablets are amazing devices, but obviously if a kid is able to use one (assuming unsupervised) for 10 hours in a day there is something worse going on at home rather than just the tablet itself.

The point I was making stands, the internet is far more dangerous to kids than TV ever was. Whilst not being a parent myself, I would imagine as kids get older and incresaingly tech savvy it becomes ever more difficult to moderate everything they're up to on the internet and social media. I think social media is behind the tradegies we're seeing with teenagers rcently, not poor parenting.

Because 10 hours.

Ok? I Spent most of yesterday gaming except for a shower and a trip to the supermarket.

Really? TV is moderated, the internet isn't. The internet is a far bigger danger to impresionable youngsters than TV ever was.

I don't have kids, but I bet there are pretty good parental control apps you can get for tablets these days.

This is why multiculturism is a myth, radical and liberal cultures can't live side by side , friction is always under the surface.

Is that why a rather large percentage of Scottish people wanted to leave? They don't want the English folk meddling in their affairs?

I actually think that multicultural societies can work, it's not easy and it's a long process but can be done successfully. It's not the end result that's the issue (a true multicultural society, equal and fair to all) but the way our leaders go about implementing it.

Mistakes will be made, as nothing is perfect at the start.

And you're a child?

I'm asking what the issue is with children spending time on a tablet, is there evidence that it's bad for them if they're also socialising and exercising? I spent a lot of time playing with Lego as a kid, if I played Minecraft on a tablet is that worse for me? If so, why?

I wonder where this right wing terrorist got radicalised?

I think above demonstrates why the attacker in NZ Christchurch was actually an Australian and not a Kiwi, I'd be very surprised if Murdoch has his grubby little racist mitts all over the NZ press like he does in other countries

Apparently, Sky New Zealand stopped broadcasting Sky News Australia until they ceased broadcasting parts of the guy's video.

Sky News Australia's defence was that they didn't show anyone being killed, but it was clearly enough for Sky NZ to take them off the air…

I've been super impressed how New Zealand have coped and reacted to this horrific attack on their people by a foreign far right terrorist.
They are a perfect example how multiculturalism can and does work, beautiful country and beautiful people.

Your child was on a tablet for 10hrs?

SD.

Essentially took my son to his Spanish lessons so there was 2hrs. Out almost all afternoon town then walk so that's 4hrs (6) got in she wasn't on it, then picked up and went upstairs. Called back down for tea. Had errand to run plus bed time for littlun. 9hrs+. Asked how long she had been on and said when we were out. Go figure. Said unless you self regulate then the regulation will be done for you.

It is as far as I know the first time she has done it. Her Mum wasn't very impressed. Having said that she is like me and reads a book a week and has just hd exams and she finished top of year in in a subject and top off class in two others.

Just about keeping her in line. We have a TV ban in mornings too. Rare exceptions made if weather is miserable and we cant go out for a walk or play.

Still waiting for the right wing community to denounce these attacks.

oh like the muslim community denouncing all the terror attacks and people leaving to join IS for the past 5 years?

those 15 year olds wouldn't have left the UK if their community had been active about it being wrong. they say as many as 500 left after them too.

Yeah, lets justify a wrong with another wrong
Great logic

We denounce drugs all the time and yet children are still smoking, drinking and getting high.

It’s pretty much the same thing, even if they were denouncing it, they would just be rebellious anyway.

You can’t prove that parents aren’t denouncing it ( if you could I’m sure nsa or gchq would love to talk to you), so this line of discussion is entirely pointless.
