2700x build - X470 Motherboard Choice

I have been provided with the same file and have been told this could fix the low / no sound after sleep issue. I can provide a link or you can use the same one from that forum.

Please can you give me the link because I'm not keen downloading a file uploaded by some random forum member and thanks again.

Also, in the BIOS, PBO is AUTO by default but do you know what the difference is between that and ENABLED ? That seems to raise the temps by 10c but only adds around 100mhz to the cpu speed.

Only just stumbled across this thread... My rig has sound issues on wake too, probably 50% of the time I'll get silence, but a reboot always clears it.
It might be something Windowsy- my mobo is an Asus.

The issue with the sound my motherboard has isn't solely related to sleep because I had sleep disabled for a long time and still had the sound issue.

Hello all,

Here is a link to the file in question, it's a firmware update that should resolve the issues.

I will only leave this file live for a few months, if you have any issues let me know.

Thanks. I've flashed that firmware and will let you know the outcome. My PC performed a restart after running that utility with no indication anything had been changed but I assume that's normal ?

It's the AMD pression boost setting Auto means it will toggle on off when in idle or stressed, Enable will mean it is on all the time and will draw more power.

Auto seems better given the temps are much lower for very little loss in all core speed. Real world gaming, the single core boost is higher on auto from my testing. Thanks again.
