#METoo Misfire

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Women who are proven to have lied about sexual assault/rape should get the same prison sentance the man would have if he was found guilty.

@Evangelion sexually assaulted me yesterday. It's true believe me. You have to provide evidence to refute it now.

OMG that’s awful, you’re so brave for talking about it and bringing this out into the open. Hopefully other forum users who’ve been assaulted in a similar way will now have the courage to come forward and tell their own truths. Hopefully these scumbags will be revealed and lose their jobs they probably got by abusing other forum users on the way up #amidoingthisright

It annoys me when she talks about "my truth", as though there are multiple truths. There is only one truth and she can't admit she did the wrong thing. She needs to grow up!

Beliefs and opinions are facts/truth in leftist circles, that's why people like Evangelion think that you should have your career/life destroyed on the back of mere accusations. They also can't seem to differentiate between a bit of awkward/creepy flirting and violent rape which only compounds their guilty until proven innocent "destroy everyone who is accused of anything" mindset.

That's not how it works.

I'm writing to his employer as we speak, by his standards that's definitely grounds for ruining his career/life.

'Awkwardly flirty'? He has publicly confessed to what he describes as 'appalling behaviour' that included sexual harassment.

Also, this guy cheated on his wife, he deserves to have his career destroyed.
His appalling behaviour was his pee poor attempts to get a bit more extramarital rumpy pumpy. you seem intent on still painting him as the devil - he knob or try to knob your bird or something? or are you really April Dawn?!

He didn't admit to sexual harassment, the appalling behaviour mentioned was the cheating on his wife and attempted lechery with other fans (in a pretty awkward and poorly executed way).

I'll be honest, I redacted some of my reply and replaced it with the advice to check the video to get the real information. Maybe I should have included more information but I am supposed to be working rather than replying to threads here!

Also, this guy cheated on his wife, he deserves to have his career destroyed.

No he doesn't, that is a ridiculous standpoint.

I've ranted on topics like this before about men who get accused and then do nothing for retribution - the guy accused of penetrating some **** on a Tube platform being one example. This sort of **** is only going to peter out when the maggots making these false accusations are locked up and fined every penny they own. there needs to be some high-profile examples to put the message across. it annoys the living **** outta me that these people aren't immediately done by the police for false accusation or attempting to pervert the course of justice etc. at the very least they should make them swear an oath when making the claim so that they can immediately be done for perjury if it turns out they're lying.
There has been plenty of high profile fake accusation cases. Neymar, Johny Depp, Ronaldo off the top of my head. Some are suing back now but its not easy at all with society, media and courts being biased in favour of women.

It took Johnny Deep hundreds of hours of CCTV footage, eyewitnesses, countless of messages and other evidence plus a top team of lawyers just to have a chance while his ex-wife did it with a couple of twitter messages and the media went crazy for her. Nonexistent media coverage since Depp went on the counter attack with actual proof.

And meanwhile Carl Beech, who falsely accused MP's of sexual abuse, gets 18 years and the news plastered across the front page.

It would be nice to think that it can be used as precedence for future cases or is that only in movies?

Not even remotely the same, he cost forces millions of Pounds on a huge investigation, perverted the system with his habitual lies and besmirched the name of several people. In no manner can it be comparable.

I agree the severity of his accusations is not comparable. But what determines whether someone is prosecuted for malicious false accusations?

The number of accusations?
The type of person accused?
The cost to the police?

Is justice no longer blind? Surely everyone who attempts to pervert the course of justice should be prosecuted?

To be honest, it's turned into such an attention-whoring blue-haired pigs screeching joke that most normal people don't pay any attention anymore to anyone that claims to have been raped. I automatically just think 'another lying attention-seeker'. Sad as there's legitimate victims that's potentially suffering because of a few loudmouths with a Twitter account that needs more 'followers'.
Sadly this pretty much sums it up.

It's gotten to the point where the #metoo movement is so damaged/unpopular that it damages anyone coming forward by association.

I am utterly gobsmacked that there are still people who support this woman. Are they literally insane?

They're typical bigots. There's nothing new about it, e.g. if someone was proven to be making false accusations against a Jew in medieval western Europe there would still be some people who supported the false accuser. Or, far more similarly, "black" men in the USA much more recently who were accused of assaulting "white" women. Those are the most famous examples, but not the only ones.

The whole point of this sort of thing is to "justify" and promote irrational prejudice. When you have a situation in which group identity is taken on faith as irrefutable truth and all accusations by a person of higher status group identity against a person of lower status group identity are required to be automatically believed, this happens. It's so inevitable that it must be the point. Anyone who thinks anything else is literally insane. But I think few if any of the people who support such things (regardless of the target group) are insane. I think they know exactly what they're supporting and why - irrational prejudice. Although some of them will be so extremely irrationally prejudiced that they come to believe it. Everyone knows <insert target group here> do <insert bad thing here>, so obviously any such accusation must be true regardless of any and all evidence to the contrary. With enough propaganda, plenty of people will believe it and some will believe it to the extent of creating false memories of things happening that never happened. Human memory is mostly made up afterwards.

Back in the real world, that never happened.

May as well claimed he publically confessed to being an alien lizardman secretly ruling the world from Area 51. Why not go all the way? Also, he rigged the USA election to get Donald Trump in. All by himself. The weather is his fault as well - he publically confessed to it. Well, he didn't, but I say he did and that's my truth and therefore more important than the actual truth.

Also, this guy cheated on his wife, he deserves to have his career destroyed.

Rubbish.

Out of interest, do you apply the same standards to women who cheat on their husbands? Men who cheat on their husbands? Women who cheat on their wives? What about people who are in relationships with an expectation of monogamy but not married?

I wasn’t talking specifically about one case.

The cost nor the people involved shouldn’t have any effect on the outcome. The sentence should be based on the actual offence.

The likes of the bitch that nearly destroyed Mark Pearson’s life (if anyone remembers him) should have been arrested and sentenced based on her lies. Yet she STILL has full court protection in the UK! You can’t even name her. She just went back to Hollywood and continued her acting career. The law as it stands is broken.
