Saw some versions were going for £75 on cdkeys waiting for the Steam release in December as got other games to put me on for the time being.

I reckon the cdkey price will drop a bit shortly before the steam release and then bounce back up again for the steam release.

The launch trailer felt strange and rushed. If I knew nothing about the game and watched that trailer I'd assume the game took place in the Caribbean.

Agree, it's a weird angle for the trailer.

Seems like they have put minimal effort in really.

Depends what you call ‘maxed’ it won’t run GTA5 maxed (when you add in all the silly AA)

but I suspect it will run it maxed with some tweaked settings

Sadly not, draw distance will be the killer for you, and AA. I mean, I am taking a shot in the dark, but as said above, that rig won't run GTA 5 maxed and that's years old.

I'm not really making a comparison to the consoles as I've not looked at videos for those versions much, but taking it on its own I think it looks very nice, and will no doubt run much better. Not sure what you were expecting, it's not like they're making it from scratch.
