I've seen Red Dragon Vega 56 cards sub £250?
I fired Gibbo a message earlier this week and he's struggling to get deals on Powercolor and Sapphire.5700 at the moment, these are what I'm waiting for.
If your budget has increased to consider dabbling with those cards, then you definitely have the budget for a Radeon 5700 XT.
In order to increase my budget this means skipping black Friday. However W/C black Friday i have a budget of £350-£400 max. Don't think I want to spend anymore than this.
My point was having the budget to even consider a 2060S or 2070S opens up the 5700 XT, which is a better choice. Certainly there is no point in looking at the 2060S if you can afford a 5700 or 5700 XT, and whether the 10% performance increase the 2070S offers is worth £100 to you or not.

Exactly what i was wondering. I've only ever used NVidia and i'm in the same boat as you. Something in the £200 to 300 range. Without the all the fanboyism, are AMD drivers any good? I've avoided them in the past for this very reason, that said, surely it can't be that bad seeing as they have the monopoly in the console market.
Some say fine, others say not. Apparently they have struggled with stability, but apparently this comes down to new architecture. AMD drivers in recent years have been solid, so i have no doubt they will iron out the current issues
This is my concern and considering my options. Roll on Black Friday, other than this 1660 Super is looking more likely than ever.
Alas it seems Navi drivers are still a bit of pot luck. It's rare to see somebody say "total failure, everything's broken" these days, but "150% perfect" is also isn't as common as we'd like. As always, it's going to take a bit more time for AMD to smooth out Navi issues, but I don't think it's bad enough to warrant skipping out.

You need to look at the price difference between the actual 2060s & 2060ti models you would buy & go from there.

Best 5700 price I believe in market right now, as its one of our early BF deals.
Only better price I can see for 5700 is also from MSI, but its for the blower card and we could retail that at £289.99 but we have to buy way too many to get that price and sales of MBA 5700 have being poor, I feel the Mech at £10 more is simply a better and more attractive deal to consumers.
I did feed back to MSI that I wanted a further £30 of their MBA 5700 so we can sell it at £269-£279 on BF, but I got laughed at, but hey if no one takes them at current pricing, they may be forced and more desperate closer to Christmas to move those MBA cards.

Aye, its one of the reasons ive held off, that and my Vega56 is fine. I will probably wait until next year see what happens with the 5800/3070
If it wasn't for the fact I have everything ready for my build sat on the table right now, I'd be in the same boat!
its catch22, there is always some new tech around the corner. If you buy the 1660s/5700 now, its still going to be a good card for the next couple of years
