Random place to attack, but that's probably the idea. Nobody knows where it will happen next. At least they shot him before he could do too much damage.

Used to live in Streatham Hill up until last September. This road is very busy place on a Sunday afternoon.

There is always crime here but never thought anything terror related would take place.

A couple of other OCUK'ers live nearby hope you all are ok.

We just know various posters on both sides eagerly waiting the results on skin colour before posting. :D
My guess is it's a white guy, as it's been immediately declared as terrorism. If it’s a non-white the establishment normally put off admitting anything until they absolutely have to.

London needs some strong leaders to take the bull by the horns and get on top of this madness. Instead the champagne socialists keep electing people like Abbott who cannot even put a pair of shoes together. I accept May's police cuts are a big part to blame but now is a time for action and I see little if it. I hate doing London jobs now especially at night. I can't imagine living there.

Sadly seems to be true that they do this.

No it doesn't, the attack in November was publicly declared as a terrorist-related incident within an hour of it happening; today's incident it was about the same. Internally it would have been even sooner for both as part of the operational response.

I live about 8 miles down the road, in a "nicer" and quieter part of South London, not that Streatham isn't that nice, but it's more of a densely packed urban environment. Still only a £1.50 bus ride away, the attacker could have quite likely been where I was today.

Was out for a quiet Sunday lunch and stroll with my girlfriend when it happened. I would likely not be a target for these attacks because I'm likely big enough to look like I could put up a fight, but my girlfriend would be totally defenceless. Short of getting any knife defence training and getting her pepper spray, not much can be done as he stabbed defenceless women in the back.

For all the other knife crime in London, a lot of it operates on a twisted code, but one that usually prevents defenceless women being targeted as much. It takes a seriously twisted, cowardly and wretched individual to even consider such an act.

Well whoever it may be they have said he was under active surveillance already so I guess they knew it was terror related immediately.
