Lian li LANCOOL II

Just arrived home and really looking forward to getting my components in it. It looks like a fantastic case in person. It's solid!!

night and day compared to my old £40 case which is used on the sim rig. very easy to build into, I removed the hard drive enclosure completely to give a bit more airflow on my 280 AIO cooler.

I'll be removing the HDD enclosure too but initial impressions so far, I'm delighted with it. I don't think I could get a better case for the cash to be fair.

I'm thinking about to get a new computer case and don't want to wait for the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh since they told me it would come out around June 2020 instead. For Lian Li Lancool II and Phanteks P600S, what would you recommend to choose? Thank you.

I'm looking at all these cases too. Have you looked at the be quiet pure base 500 DX? Due for release soon

When will be quiet pure base 500 DX release?
Michty, do you have any issue with Lancool II durign building the computer?
It seems like Lancool II is over Phanteks P600S. Haha.

The only issue I had with building it was the location of the usb3.0 header on the Strix board being at the bottom made it very tight getting the connector on from the front I/O.

How are owners finding this case?

I haven't owned an ATX case since my first PC in the Antec Nine Hundred. But I'm considering moving back from ITX. After watching loads of reviews, I've got the list down to this, the Antec P120, and the Be Quiet! Pure Base 500 (maybe the DX; waiting to see some reviews).

I'm loving it. It's my first decent case though so I have nothing to compare against really.

What a coincident. My previous case was Antec Nine Hundred too. I have used it for almost 10 years. I loved the case and I passed it to my coworker because he said he still wants it before I'm throwing it away. Currently I built my new computer with Phanteks P600S. I love it too. I have decided to give up Lancool II and returned it.

case is great looking and was easy to build in/ route cables. Sad I bought an RX5700XT to put inside though, have had nothing but problems with the card. Would highly recommend the additional RGB strip for the case to put under the glass panel if you are looking for the full RGB experience.

only problem with the case is that I didnt connect the Front USB headers and now I can't be bothered opening everything up and connecting them, too lazy...

It was a great case, wasn't it? I'll admit, after I made that post I went looking on eBay with the temptation to buy one and mod it. Paint the inside black, add a PSU shroud, maybe try and find a way to mount an AIO? Maybe one day.

I sold mine a long time ago. Been using ITX cases since. Last year I moved up to the mATX Inwin 301 as I was fed up of cramped spaces and rising prices in ITX cases. But now I'm thinking I'd like to go larger again as the case still feels cramped in areas.

Good to know you're getting on well with the case. Sadly the RGB strip has disappeared from online shelves. Not really sure why. But I think I'll be going with the Phanteks Neon DRGB strips as a replacement.

Will also be looking to ditch my 5700 XT. I made the mistake of buying the reference card. It's loud even with two intake fans blowing directly on to the face of the card... With the current prices of decent 5700 XT AIB cards, I'm feeling like the 2070 Super makes more sense.
