GTX 1070 Upgrade?

Too late he already got a 2070S :p

This will definitely happen. Seen it many times here. Worse yet some people here even tell people asking why wait, life is short etc. Lol.

What I have have found consistently is people making threads asking these questions have already made their minds, they are just hoping to get someone to agree with them so they feel reassured or something. As I said before, the more people who buy the old gear to clear the inventories the better for us who are looking to buy the new shiny stuff :)

Yea these threads seem pointless when the people commenting get ignored. His 2070s is still a decent card but he has just paid around £500 for a card that will be superseeded in around 3/4 months time by hopefully a 30/40% gain at around the same price point. I have no knowledge of a new title coming out in the coming months that i have to upgrade my 1070 to play the title, so for me i can hang fire on lower graphical changes or just wait too play the game in a few months time.

Agreed.

I was facing the same issue recently with feeling like my 1070 wasn't cutting it - worked out much cheaper to buy a decent 1440p screen and stop playing at 4K on my 1070, and the dual screen setup is very handy.

If 5700XT had a tiny bit more perf I would have gone for that over a 20 series - prices have gone up on the AMD cards now though.

I will probably wait now for as long as poss

I had a 1070 and it did pretty damn good at 1440p, especially with an adaptive sync monitor.
