Very bad luck then @Firestar_3x considering my v2.0 is clean as a whistle!
Yeah they are all part of the power phases, so you are right, it could have been bad PSU rails!Might be PSU related, i presume these 3300uf 6.3v caps are part of the power stage?
£34 is fine at the moment, you are looking around £80 - 100 for a fully working 12mb card. Post some pics up of the big box games!

Can’t really link due to it being new and computer equipment from a competitor, but Googling “pci to 4 compact flash RAID” will show you a relevant result as the first hitNever seen an adapter like that before, got a link?
Indeed. I stumbled across it looking to see if a PCI SSD existed.Silicon image controller too, very very interesting find.

Yeah I used to have one in an old 1U server, 32GB i think it was. Pretty poor speed and also takes up a whole IDE channel for one device.I've seen some IDE direct plug in SSDs (all contained on one small board with an IDE plug) but i imagine the performance is terrible.
Just tested, putting out 6v down the 5v rail.
Erm, i hope that was quite a while back!
