Oh, they are preparing incase they need to use FP2 positions for the race.
I don't know, but it's in the FIA rules (Article 2.4.3.b.i) but the FIA didn't exist back in 1950.
Pretty sure it did. Before WW2 it was called the Association Internationale des Automobile Clubs Reconnus, after the war they renamed it.
Yeah, you're right. My mistake.
I suspect there’ll be at least one race in the Middle East just due to the money involved. I’m quite happy for most of the season to be in Europe though, it’s proper old school. Call it the European championship or go down the US route of sporting events and just hold it in one country and still call it the world championship.
I do still find it funny that their going to Sochi given the current F1 initiatives.
Yeh I reckon the "Oval" would be pretty exciting. Massive change to what is normal in F1, could really shake things up!Bahrain has offered to host 2x races and I believe the second layout (almost oval shaped track) has been signed off as a possible layout option; would be different at least!
Good start for Norris. 3 place grid penalty for overtaking under yellow flags.

Oh that's a mess.
Ricciardo's going to need basically a new car from that.
Limping when getting out of the car too.
Wow... Close up shows the exhaust has been crushed.![]()
Does anyone buy this idea that they'll use FP2 times for the grid? I just don't see it happening.
