It gets confusing not just with the renaming, but also because the rulebook was set by the CSI (Commission Sportive Internationale). The FIA sanctioned the series, the CSI (initially) set out what the series was. The CSI later morphed into FISA in 1978, which then dissolved in '93 when Mosley's FIA asserted control over the whole deal.

I suspect there’ll be at least one race in the Middle East just due to the money involved. I’m quite happy for most of the season to be in Europe though, it’s proper old school. Call it the European championship or go down the US route of sporting events and just hold it in one country and still call it the world championship.

I do still find it funny that their going to Sochi given the current F1 initiatives.

Bahrain has offered to host 2x races and I believe the second layout (almost oval shaped track) has been signed off as a possible layout option; would be different at least!

Rain would make this one much more interesting. But latest forecast make this unlikely. I think Hamilton will be back on form and take pole. I wonder if their gearboxes will survive! Really hope Lando can repeat his podium, but think the Redbulls will be up there instead.

Yeh I reckon the "Oval" would be pretty exciting. Massive change to what is normal in F1, could really shake things up!
