This is some white privilege, a white BLM supporter trying to lecture a black woman comes off second best.


Ok, a serious question to the people who use this racist term gammon. What is the purpose of using that term? Do you have any positivity of the *white race, culture and history, or do you see it as all bad and the quicker 'gammons' die off the better?

*I'm using the term white so to refer to all predominantly white countries)

They've been warned about throwing around the terms racist and nazi with zero evidence, so the go to is now gammon. It's just a childish way to get round that.

It seems like a particularly stupid, meaningless term used by pretentious people who would also use Mockney in order to look "different".

Yes, due to the inability or unwillingness of what I believe to be the majority of people (the ones who think it's BS but don't care enough to go without Ben and Jerry's) to stand up against that type of pandering, as I mentioned in my subsequent posts.
 
I hadn't heard of the term gammon in this context until yesterday in this thread, so I must be doing something right.

Like that's got anything to do with what the protests are about.

Just because she is black doesn't mean she speaks for all black people by the way.

Also what is with the obvious statement, of course nobody speak for all black people because black people are individuals with there own opinions not some monolith who all think together.

More about the Trayvon Martin bit, they never stated they were killed by police.

As for the evidence and racial breakdown, I've not seen numbers that support your claim, white people are the majority of police killings but black people are still killed at a disproportionately high rate*. Regardless, are any of their numbered points bad things, even if you disagree with the race angle what's wrong with the points they made?

*can't remember who, but someone on here made a point about higher interactions with police, more likely to be involved in violent crime etc. but i'm yet to see a proper study that includes all these other factors.

I think it's pretty clear that's what they were implying given the preceding paragraph, in any case George Zimmerman who killed him was not demonstrated to have been a white supremacist so it falls apart however you look at it.

Of course black people are killed at a disproportionate rate, they are 13% of the population but they commit 50% of the murders!

Yes their points are bad, Trump has already condemned white supremacy groups, they are trying to imply he supports them. And their 3rd point regarding the whole 1619 project and reparations is crazy, no black person born in the USA was ever a slave, and only a tiny proportion of white people were descended from slave owners, it's ridiculous.

And we should all be ashamed, or something. Every time a white officer nicks a black guy, it's racism. Every time a black guy doesn't get a job, it's racism.
