The moment you use any word like 'Nvidiots', people automatically know you are an irrational fanboy. Just saying.

No to me it's just a way to single out those that truelly have no clue about graphics cards and spread a lot of crap about AMD. Go read the comments on that video and tell me the word does not fit. You can see from my post I use Nvidia users for those that talked sense and knew what was wrong.

Intel with all that tedious underhand nonsense testing the 9900K against the 3800X or whichever AMD CPU is was and 'Principalled technology' or whoever their spun off sham 'independent' research company were is a good example of how Intel are as shifty as they come. I don't like it when any company takes me for a fool and plays fast and loose with the truth and Intel have done it many times. Two wrongs don't make a right.

In the end, no matter the company, a healthy dose of skepticism is required. Some companies are more clueless, misleading, or outright evil than others but everyone should be kept under a microscope.

Me too although Robert Hallock with his ludicrous and deeply dishonest PBO graph for Ryzen CPUs is cut from the same cloth. I can't stand that sort of 'marketing' which is designed to deliberately deceive your consumers, leaves a nasty taste in the mouth and undermines all future claims/promises.

Not sure what you mean here, AMD stated if you add better cooling you get a better boost with PBO.
I found his video explaining the pbo and pbo2 to be informative.
Having someone explain this stuff from Intel isn't likely to happen unless hell freezes over.

Big Dog Navi is shaping up nicely btw.

Do you read some different forums to me?

I was talking about the comments on that youtube video. I am very aware both sides have people like that but outside of forums like these there are far more people with no clue who just spout the usual crap about AMD than those that attack Nvidia. It seems to be pretty common that those using AMD know there stuff and made a decision based on knowledge compared to those that bought Nvidia due to them being well Nvidia as it just works. Read facebook hardware pages or comment sections on youtube. You get more sense from reading playstation v xbox arguments.

I don't get all the vitriol myself, I just buy whatever is the best value proposition, have flip flopped on CPU's and GPU's over the years, biggest thing that has held me back in last few years has been the extra cost of a G-Sync monitor, so last time choice was easy to go for AMD, this time my main monitor supports both so looking forward to what they both have to offer

Too bad you’re not able to judge any comments objectively. Pretty much people saying things you don’t agree with = nvidiots. Don’t think i’ve seen anyone here call the equivalent amd fans let’s say ‘amderps’ or whatever insult you want to think of. Nope.

I mean... where have you seen nvidia users calling out Amd users anything like that? Worst i’ve seen is some people trolling/taking the **** with ‘amd is for poor people’. But there’s so few inbetween it’s like nonexistant.

just look at r/nvidia vs r/amd

the latter is pretty much littered with people ******** on nvidia and praising amd, while the former just minds its own business.

You do realise that you're criticising stereotyping by using a stereotype?

Due to market share the odds are you will see more Nvidia users posting.

Go have a read and come back. It's not that I dont like what they are saying its I don't like utter BS full stop. Amdbots has been floated around a few times but it just dont really bother people but the word Nvidiot seems to bring out the rage :D:D:D.

Just for the record again I am not referring to anyone on here just those that hate on AMD because somebody else with no clue told them that Nvidia just works and AMD is to be avoided at all costs. I should probably read less comment sections.

I know this but still doesn't change the fact that from what I have seen outside of proper hardware forums 9/10 times most drivel comes from a Nvidia user spouting a lot of crap. If you dont believe me go read some comment sections or Facebook pages.

Wait, what? You're trying to encourage people to read those?

No but if they want to see where i am coming from they should.

Any how i am no longer replying to this as it's going a bit off topic and if it goes any further i will no doubt get in trouble. I have said my reason for using that word no more needs to be said.

Same here, had both brands of GPU/CPU over the years and was g-sync only for several years, that monitor recently broke so now have a monitor that supports both.

Its been this way in IT for donkeys years with the vendor/platform wars, C64 vs Spectrum, Amiga vs Atari ST, now its splintered into a brands of PC hardware. :p

if the AMD GPUs share tech with the consoles, and they are under NDA until the consoles launch could that explain some of the radio silence? I'm assuming the consoles launch reasonably soon to make the Christmas retail cycles?
This is a good point...

I sold my 1080ti for a new 5700xt and made a profit about 6 months ago, I bought it so I could use vsync on my new Samsung TV and have never had any driver issues and the picture quality seems better to me than my 1080ti, only problem I have had is I can't get Microsoft flight simulator to work but I can hardly blame AMD for that.

This AMD better image quality keeps coming up over and over again... i went from a 1070 to a 5700XT, the image did look a little washed out on the 1070 compared with the 5700XT, like the 1070 was running a 6bit colour pallet vs 8Bit and some fine detail was missing on the 1070, like the textures were compressed.

Thing is @Stu999 I would chuckle at that and take no offense. I buy the card the wallet agrees with, just so happens to be AMD these days, happy to accept nvidia 3000 card just waiting bracing for the prices/availability first (wont need new PSU or case)!
