the stuttering wtf is with that? So jerky? Are you saying that's the card or just the AMD recording software? There is no way I could tolerate that in game play

Its the Recoding software, i left about 6 rants about it in the AMD drivers thread, its ok now tho, its fixed.

It will only be the hardcore Nvidia fanboys who have 100% confidence in their hero.

I want to see them cry like a baby when AMD release their killer GPU :D
I wouldn't cry. I would be delighted. But no way am I holding out for AMD to release said "killer GPU" anymore. been waiting 10 years and every launch it's the same hype same lack lustre high end GPU's.

I often think there should be an OCUK meet up sometime, just like the scene in Anchorman between the different network anchors we should do it Nvidia fan boys vs AMD fan boys.

@Gibbo any chance this could be arranged ?:D

That’s what I think also. There is a small chance it would be an Ampere killer.

Only way it would be considered an Nvidia killer imo is if they meaningfully improve price for performance making Nvidia’s propositions look bad. Like say if Nvidia release the 3070 which matches 2080Ti performance but wants £600 and AMD bring that for £400. Even a £100 reduction would not be good enough to earn the nvidia killer badge imo.

Question is will there be any Xe fans to also make it a 3-way rumble? Then some chump will turn up boasting of their APU on board capabilities. Can we all agree they are the first to go?

the 3rd group had become a dilemma but you have just solved it... also, it's agreed they are first to go :D

This launch will be no different, it'll compete mid/high, end maybe 3080 performance at best.

Which is what? Predicting the performance of yet to be released card to a yet to be released card that we know nothing about. :p

it'll be no different in terms of people wanting it to be smashing nvidia out of the park and then being disappointed. i hold high hopes but dont expect RDNA2 to be competing at the highest end ie the titan. if it competes with the 3080 its a good step forward imo.

My thinking is 2080TI +30%, but the 3090 will be 20% faster again.
