It's too hot :(

The heat indoors has properly dissipated now. No fans on, and the forecast is early 20s/late teens for the foreseeable future. Amazing.

It remained uncomfortable here up until last night, where we finally got some light wind. That light wind has circulated colder air into my property and for the first time in a month I have temps below 25C inside.

Where is 'here'?

Sure as hell not my 'here'. We left the nice warmer weather behind like a week ago and are back below average, although it is nice today as long as you're in direct sunlight. Summer is starting to feel like an accidental blip during a second, slightly warmer spring season. :p

It's cool down enough that I have a hoody on! This heatwave was just a flash in the pan as usual. I mean I enjoy the air con in the office but I can suck it up for a couple of days at home and save some money.

Only 64f for me today, nice and cool for a 13 mile ride.

Still prefer it warmer though.

Not so much heat but got a pretty decent storm in Somerset here - sustained rain, moderate wind and big heavy thunder every ~3-5 minutes.

Think we had a thunder clap here ~10-15mins ago, didn't see the lightening.

As much I was gutted to not head out on the bike the morning, it was probably for the best, I was contemplating a 100Km ride which would have resulted in me catching the start of the storm on the way home... Storm arrived ~2 hours ahead of this morning's forecast.

I have a sneaky suspicion that I'll notice our radiators switching on some time very soon if this keeps going. An utterly baking hot 12c here today and already down to 20.5 inside so 1c lower and on come the radiators. :p

Outside of around 10-14 days this summer has been utterly tragic. Vit D deficiencies are gonna be high this winter. :p

What I would give to escape to somewhere warm this winter..... :(

Lucky I got my ride out of the early this morning.

Down to a perky 54f.

Started raining shortly after I got in and didn't stop for quite a few hours.

You're joking right?!

This summer has been really good! Lately it's started to be a bit iffy, but up til now it's been great.

Yesterday was the first day below 20c for 30 days here according to the local weather station. Maybe @bliss should move south :D

The entirety of July was pretty much a cool wash out apart from the very end. Shows just how split the weather can be on this tiny island.

A different country would suit me better tbh! Summers are far too short here! :p

Anyone live near Shaftsbury or Salisbury?
Are those heavy rain clouds giving thunderstorms?

I hate how inconsistant weather forecasts are...
Weather Underground says "thunderstorms likely at 1415" for SO18
Met Office standard forecast page says like rain 1400-1700
Met Office "detailed weather map" shows a small red/yellow rain patch passing through SO18 between 1300 and 1400

All I want to know is can I cycle to Butser Hill and not get turned into a lightening conductor, or a drowned rat!

Edit: And now have light rain, god I hate technology sometimes!

Edit2: Now raining cats and dogs and sky is very dark, wouldn't be surprised to get thunder anytime!
