It's too hot :(

nice and cool here up north :D probably going to rain heavily later :D if it does I think I'll go out and get soaked + watch a swale get flooded

Wish I lived really close to a river still, I used to live just a cross a grass field from this place
was cool as hell watching it turn from a gentle river about 2-3ft deep in to a raging torrent like in the video, seen it much worse though.

last time I was there the firepit+ bench at the side was totally under water and the path under the train bridge was almost totally submerged.

they had nice flash flood sirens to warn people
 
Storms are awesome, when in bed watching out the window. Power cuts less so.

When I lived in York, you would get these mother of all storms (okay I was 8) then complete darkness struck so the candles came out.

We would break out the cards or my parents tell ghost stories, Dick Turpin executed at York Race Course or the other ghosts which haunt York (Roman centurions, Werewolfs on the moors etc). :eek:

Last batch of rain bypassed completely, just decided it wanted no part of Brighton. :( Looks like there's some more heading over the Channel so hopefully that will hit us.

Absolutely bloody typical lol. Actually it did finally shower for about 1/2 hour before it decided it'd had enough and buggered off elsewhere, not a hint of a thunder though its been so long since I've seen a thunderstorm I'm starting to forget what they look like.

Its finally cooled off now outside after dark but as soon as you step inside the building its hotter than a blast furnace its going to take days to dissipate all the heat in the building the AC unit is still burbling away next to me
 
BBC Weather saying 97% humidity here in Hove, certainly feels pretty muggy.

My flat has not yet got the memo that it's meant to be a bit cooler.
 
You know it's been unbearable when 28 degrees feels cool.

Bear in mind the humidity in the amazon rainforest right now is 75% (30c)

In my office at 11.30pm it's 72% and 28c

Looking forward to the cool down, got a lot of sleep to catch up on
