I do hope AMD reveals their hand within a week after Nvidia. Would be awesome to see AMD take the performance crown. Been a long time.

Even if they are within 5-10% and charge 20-30% less then that would be a big win too.

I just want to see them rain on Jensen's parade :D

It would seem logical, because the bulk of people who have already bought or pre-ordered a 3000 series card are unlikely to then sell it just a month later to go and buy a similar or even slightly better performing AMD card... AMD would surely want to keep as many potential buyers on the fence as possible by teasing some details showing RDNA2 is worth waiting a month or two for.

I would definitely expect them to start pushing out “leaks” if not outright just putting more info out there themselves shortly after Nvidia’s showing.

Playing simulators with a controller and a tiny gimmick instead of a proper force feedback wheel? Who would do that? Plus you'll be able to use the ps5 controller with your pc if you want although steam controller is still the king of innovation.

Not sure how you reason, those that buys a console ps5 duh....
and judging hardware before testing, your opinion which then makes it in the ignore category.

Big Dog Navi is fast.
If all AMD did was to double the cu from navi it be around 40% faster than 2080ti.
But they Zen re-engineered from what they learned from navi and also added a lot of mhz speed.
I suspect it be in the ballpark with the 3090 and then all bets are off with pricing.
I wish they can make them cheap and really undercut to gain marketshare.
In my case a $600 card 40% above 2080ti is likely wishful thinking but it be a huge impact market wise...

This goes beyond wishful thinking and in to delusional.

Typical AMD - when it has nothing competitive to target a forthcoming release, it simply launches the lowest low-end to please the masses.
Very weird psychology-marketing approaches.

AMD should have other targets like regaining the lost market share.
In which case their product positioning should be independent of RTX 2080 Ti's pricing and positioning..

See, this is what so annoys me about PC graphics cards and why they're ultimately such a waste of money at the higher end.

My 2080 has more TFLOPS, and almost certainly more RT performance, than the new PS5 and yet it has never, and never will be pushed to produce these kind of visuals, as seen in this video.

PC dev studios just don't have the resources or inclination to even try it any more.

In the near two years I've owned the 2080, I bet its real capabilities have barely even been touched upon.

You got it. And have just defined the true meaning behind console port. Instead of me trying to verbally argue with alt accounts I rather just show everyone else and you make your own decision. But I do get a good chuckle how upset they get when their silly assertions are easliy rebuked. :D

But ultimately this is what it's come to. No matter how fast ampre might be, or how much Ray tracing it can do it will always be limited buy the console port.

As I've said before nvidia might be leading the GPU Market but they're nowhere near influencing the Gaming Market. And what you said is a prime example of that. The only way you will ever see the full potential of those gpus is if Nvidia develops their own gaming studio and make the games themselves. ;)

Some are going to be surprised when they invest all that money to play these console ports and realize that immersion is the same. Not understanding that developers can place a cap on "how fast" the game runs regardless of how high the fps get . But I digress:D

Is that 60fps/4k?

I think Sony exclusives and Nintendo exclusives are in a class of their own re: optimisation so I wouldn't personally use a first party title as a point of comparison... They're just insanely better than everyone else.
