I'll just sit here and wait nicely for AMD announcements, I really don't get the I've got to have now thing, but that's just me. For me, I'm running a 5700XT, I'll probably stay AMD because they've never ripped me off or tried to and I don't like the way nVidia has worked for the past 3 years artifically hiking prices with no competitionm, yes it's business, however the shafting they've done and now cause panic to their supporters who have 2080 and above cards now being worth peanuts, I don't like that way of working. So, for me, I'll sit and wait for AMD. If AMD doesn't offer what I want, then I'll either go nVidia or keep my 5700Xt for a while... for me, it's a GPU my life won't be any worse off for a few more weeks of wait.
However, on the think around what AMD should do... personally they already probably know they've lost the war on performance king before last night... they'll be mopping up, however one thing I don't think they counted on was the price of the 3000 series which really probably throws a spanner in the works but epic for us the end users... I think the 6700XT would have to be now released at £399 to get sales judging by what we have and would need to be around 3070 performance... that's the best I believe we can hope for, i'd be very surprised if their new offereing got anywhere near 3080 tbh.
