I think a lot of people will be in the same boat, the market price for these older cards may well drop below what some are prepared to sell them for, at the end of the day they are still great cards, just not as fast as the newer ones.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
They're probably worth around £400-£500 right now but yes, if and when the full reviews are out and confirm the 3070 is the same speed or faster, then they'll drop right back to around £300 as simply not worth any more than that for a used card, potentially without warranty.
My 1080Ti of course will be worth about £3.75 at that point![]()
Clearly AMD can come out with something competitive in the 3080 or below tiers, there is no logical reason to think otherwise. The 5700XT was competing well above its price bracket. However, it's unlikely AMD will compete near the 3090.I just can't see AMD coming up with something competitive in the gpu market unfortunately
That said, I thought the same with the cpu market and I was very wrong there, so you never know...
If I had a 1080ti, I'd probably be holding on for the next gen. Still a very capable card.
Interesting so all the people gloating about how they sold their 2080 ti's before the announcement of the new cards might be in for a nasty shock.See my comment above.
It'll be fine most of the time but, if you get a scammer who claims your item turned up damaged or non-functional or whatever, they'll raise a dispute and the bay will instantly side with them and not even listen to your side of the story. They'll even take the money back from you via Paypal and leave you without the money or the product.
This is particularly dangerous with graphics cards right now because buyers may suddenly realise they've paid over the odds and find a reason to return the card, even deliberately breaking it.
It's just not worth the risk.

To be honest, my 1070 is still reasonable. Just starting to show its age on 1440p ultra wide with high settings.

Not sure I care about RT though.
I'd happily buy a 1080ti for the right price.
Probably £200 ish.

Thank god. Think I'll go for a 3080 now at some point as I'd love to start working out my 77'' CX's 120hz mode at 4k.
I'll be selling my Zotac 2080 in the members market soon. Any reccomended fair prices to set it at?
Bloke on Youtube called Bang4buck gamer and he was really rubbing it in in his latest video saying if you have a 2080ti and have not moved it on yet you must feel like killing yourself because you have lost 300 to 400 quid he said you should have been smarter and moved it on sooner he sounds like a right arrogant **** i hope he gets a chargeback.I can imagine the there will ebe the highest number of Ebay claimbacks ever.
