Yes the dual thing is kicking in now. So not sure on what number the full fat dGPU has available but it will be more than the xbox. This is why your going to be looking at a 3070 competitor for sure, then one halo effort above it IMO.

If the Xbox really is 52CU FP+FP I can see it being 2080Ti level with the other architectural improvements.

Which is what a few of us have been posting for some time now. So even being restricted and not carried away, your still going to see a 3070 without pushing that hard IMO. I would be unable to predict the better stacks as there is no info to go on, but they will surely bring something out to flagship their attempt toward 3090 performance.

To echo Th0nt's point above, it's not like us "AMD fanbois" have been pulling numbers out of our arses when talking about Big Navi's potential. The XSX exists. We know its specs, we've seen it run, it's a good foundation for speculation. We also have a good baseline for RDNA 1 performance in the 5700 XT to further extrapolate from.

I freely admit the napkin maths I've been regurgitating ad nauseam are best-case scenario, and humbug's numbers are worst-case, but it all points to a big positive for Big Navi. All those dismissing it are frankly blinkered, but their loss I suppose.

The only thing we can guarantee is there is no proprietary nvidia gimmicks available i.e. locked-in-sync; M$-IO; 6 games DLSS; RTX voice.

Although AMD usually have same alternative under another namesake. As long as the performance is there there will be nothing to worry about. Yes they can horlicks this up, but I would rather see whats at stake and get a card for £50-100 less in the price wars than jump in and pre-order on skewed stats.

Hell, take all of the numbers, speculation, consoles, wishful thinking and dismissal out of the equation and ask this one, simple question:

Why did the company who fleeced its customers out of £1,300+ for beta test hardware is now only charging £450 for the same performance for the very next generation?

I hope it isn't, and they pulled it out the bag with the latest Ryzen so here's hoping. The real big flop I'm predicting is Intel Xe. #Larrabee mark-2. I'd be delighted to be shown wrong, but you know when you just have that weird feeling...

Without this new information, which is kinda like the crazies who predict the end of the World say 'I TOLD YOU SO' when we're informed an asteroid is headed to Earth ;)

It isnt challenging to see from an experienced eye that this comparison data against the 'what we know'. Its not like they are going to stagnate or regress from the last gen?

We will see - I buy on price/performance and outside things such as performance/watt and VRAM come into play also. Getting a bit bored of being mostly on Nvidia for the last 5~6 years though!! :p

I hope it turns out good and they offer some kinda package with a Ryzen CPU. Think I'm due to leave my 5820k at some point.

I do wonder whether AMD will launch the middle RDNA2 GPU first?? I assume there must be a 56CU model, which is based on the XBox Series X configuration? These rumours of AMD only competing with an RTX3070 only, would make sense if the 80CU part launches later.
