Go for it

AMD said RDNA2 would be +50% PPW, lets say the Series X is 20% faster than a 5700XT, with 30% more shaders but lower clocked it should be around that. that bring's the XBox Series X GPU to 220 Watts if it was RDNA1. -50% = 110 Watt's.
Go for it![]()
Now you see where the stereotypes come from?![]()
Guy is clearly trolling so i wouldnt worry, you do realise you're talking about how to order an Nvidia GPU in an AMD thread from other retailers?
That must set a new off topic record![]()
Ok. If it takes 220W in RDNA1 to achieve a certain level of performance, if RDNA2 offers 50% more performance per watt then it'll take 147W for the same performance. If RDNA2 offered 100% more performance per watt, then your 110W would be correct![]()

From Steamhardware survey. While not the end all it's certainly the biggest platform on the PC for data collection. Interestingly and surprisingly, the 5700xt's install base is below a 2080ti even.
The only card AMD has is the old 570/580. This shows how much marketshare and generally associted minshare nvidia has. This is why many people are stating that if AMD does have something notable, start getting the info out early. Last week nvidia ate up all the news and they will next week also once reviews start rolling out.
*This* week should AMD's week to get some news out and draw some attention. Once ampere launches and people have cards in hand, reviewers start doing follow ups etc, AMD will struggle for attention. This is the perfect week to get attention.
Problem is that Steam survey is not very accurate. I'm not saying Nvidia doesn't have a sizeable lead, cause they do, but that steam chart feels off.
I know you don't like his 220W figure but from the video he's including the memory and VRM losses. He's estimating the CPU at 40W giving 180W for the GPU on it's own.snip....

The so called Big Navi that they apparently dropped the price on, that 16GB card, 16GB, is obviously 256Bit, its at least cut down, IMO its unlikely to be Big Navi.

Considering how many times when I was running my 4790k/1080ti combo I got asked if I wanted to submit to Steam survey and the 1 time only I've been asked after my Ryzen/Vega 64 was build, I don't hold much stock in those results. No I'm not saying Steam is after AMD if any would be silly enough to think that, its coincidence in my case but still a pointer towards incorrect data.
No i just think all the "best Navi GPU RTX 3070 competitor" is a bit too obviously wrong.I see Humbug is getting excited again. Slowly working he way from the cool and calm carriage at the back of the hype train to the drivers seat. I fear this may not end well for him again![]()
Ok, so maybe not in drivers seat yet, but you have certainly made your way to the front carriageNo i just think all the "best Navi GPU RTX 3070 competitor" is a bit too obviously wrong.![]()
