we knew the product was coming in November from a ton of YouTube vlogs ergo AMD had to "tell us more" in October. Come on dude its not rocket science this was widely known...
For once i agree with you, this says absolutely nothing and it is tiring to be constantly pocked with nothing burgers.
If its released on that date just say that, If Lisa is doing a thing from her kitchen tell us about it, whatever it is say it, ####### 18 month guessing game, enough AMD.

Means nothing, if one product is closer to launch than the other you're obviously going to talk about that product first. They're not necessarily prioritising anything, just going in order of launches. For all we know they could launch on the same day like they did a while back.
It ain't smashing anything. If it actually did, they would be announcing it this month. AMD are simply incompetent.
Proof of their incompetence is the simple fact they are even saying & releasing the date of their announcement 7 weeks in advance...lol
Apple announced "Apple event" yesterday to be held on the 15th of this month, next week. That's how you make an announcement.

I’m being slightly facetious because we did all know it was coming, but of course no one knew the exact date. Did no one lose their **** when Nvidia did an announcement of their announcement?

Paper launch like Nvidia's 1st september slideshow, still no benchmarks never mind a card to be seen? Or does it merely apply to AMD?
i honestly think amd have been caught on the hop when it comes to gpu's probably thought they had another month or 3 and now its pure scramble to try and spread it out while staying in the news until they can have stock in place.
and yes amd have their own timeline to follow. which they probably are but they could at least put something out sooner than the end of october.

Their marketing is incompetent, of that there is no doubt.
"Big things happening tomorrow!"
"Your big thing for today is: News that a big thing is happening next month!"
AMD fails hard at setting expectations, and also brings anti-climax after anti-climax.
They've turned anti-climaxes into an art form, sort of like the anti-Ron Jeremy.
They're fighting on two fronts. On the CPU side they're killing it. Also, they have stuff going on with the new consoles.
They have a tiny research budged comparing to nVidia and Intel but give it time and they'll catch up nVidia too.
The future is bright for them either way.
Nvidia are releasing 5 minute gameplay clips with performance metrics comparing their last gen flagship against 3080.
When companies announce announcements that are 7 weeks away, then yes we should be laughing at them.
