"Deep collaboration with game developers and ecosystem partners" is an interesting statement. Are AMD actually going to push to have their features in games now.
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
Personally, I'd be stockpiling Zen 3 by the hanger full rather than RDNA2. Bonus - much smaller, more per hangerI personally feel it shouldn't be too difficult to get a AMD card. The node process will yield much higher production numbers, and if they have any sense, they will use this extra time to amass a stockpile of cards.
If it's a preorder card, you have a good chance of obtaining it, but if it's only released on the specific day, a little bit of F5'ing should get you one. We also have to remember that AMD isn't nearly as popular as NVIDIA in the GPU space, so that makes it easier.
I don't think stock for Big Navi will be as limited as some suggest. Zen 3 though? Ha, that may well be very different.

5700xt isn't even much of an upgrade over Vega 64, it's around 15-20% faster depending on the game. Was considering one a while back.
Better hope that Jenson hasn't hired Bryan Mills to guard the door.I think AMD are going to dethrone Intel for fastest gaming cpu and take out the 3080. Good vibes.

Good find. So, as suspected an announcement to reveal the forthcoming launch date.

People in a few days wondering they go 3080 or wait for big navi.
I guess so. Probably has more impact to separate them, double the publicity. Also they can be reviewed separately. I don't think it was popular last time with reviewers due time constraints. We will probably get performance and pricing during the event. Interesting they have this time separated out the CPU and GPU launch. Last year Zen2 and Navi launched together in June.
you're reading too much into itThe announcement graphic, the centre image is obviously a fan, hinting at the new cooler probably, though the fan blade looks more blower than axial.
Already 22 games support FidelityFX already its been out for like 9 Months That is a very fast turn around. AMD features are so much better because they are Open and allow devs to play around and change them to there needs.

AMD themselves already confirmed no more blower coolers from them.
I still think AMD will do well to match the RTX3080!!
On paper, they've got the ability and tech available to beat it.. it's whether they have the appetite for it. It's a balancing act of yields/performance/profit margins - for both companies, but especially AMD as their finances are a lot tighter and they have the smaller mindshare... personally I think AMD need to push a product out that beats the 3080, it might not make them the most money short term but I think it's a strong investment in the consumer mindshare - it wouldn't look good to have another generation of cards where AMD is nowhere to be seen at the top. Short term financially, they're way better off focusing on 3070 level for less money and the market below - but even as an AMD defender, I'd probably be writing them off at that point if I ever wanted a performance card..
