Last 5 ish years
290/295x2 trifire
295X2 quadfire
980ti SLI
Titan XP SLI
1080TI SLI

The list could be much longer but can't be bothered to list em all. Been in and out of both camps for 20+ years therefore willing to wait to see what both offer. Quite fancy an all AMD rig but again will await benchmarks. Leaker Kopite suggested an epic battle is brewing for the top spot/best bang per buck card so it should be win win for those with the sense to wait and prices have returned to the new normal after the 20 series pi$$ take offerings.

A couple of the leakers have been spot on so far, him being one. Good to hear they reckon it will be tight as we could all do with choice.

Seems Coreteks is still sticking to his theory. Claims multiple Tier 1 partners are saying the same.

A 300 Watt 3070<, what, so 5700XT +30% +100 Watts?

This just gets better and better, everytime he makes a new video RDNA2 gets worse, by the time he's done the 5700XT will be better, he's getting there....

When the **** does he breathe. It’s like he’s taking on once long sentence. Is it some sort of synthetic voice he’s using is he just weird as hell.

I thought it was Text To Speech at first but then there is some emphasis on certain words I don't think you would get with software. Anyway, I don't want to hear any more of it whatever it is.

Right, finished watching that video.

I think what he's saying is a bit daft but i wouldn't put it past AMD to scrap big Navi and just push us off with a much smaller GPU.

What i can't get to grips with in that video he's say the 80 CU Big Navi is at best 2080TI +15%, so what he's saying is 5700XT + 100% CU's + 20% clock speeds (+120% total) for +35% performance.

Whatever dude you're not too bright.

Anyway, lets ignore that idiotic crap and just assume his performance claims are correct.

So, would you pay £450 to £500 for a 16GB GPU that sits in the middle between a 3070 and a 3080? Oh and yes ok lets throw 300 Watts in there as well just incase AMD go with a GPU so small they have to clock the absolute crap out of it to achieve that.

Yes or No?

Its a no from me.

It annoys me that they bring out refreshes of the consoles now. I'd have been super ****** off if I'd bought a regular ps4 when they released the pro.

I was ok with it, mostly because sony made it a requirement all games should still run on the base model. I did eventually replace my base with a pro, when there was a really good offer on and I got a surprisingly high bid for my base on ebay.

I think after they seen how many people have been double dipping on the previous gen, ps3 slim, refreshed xbox360 models etc. they have realised its a viable business model now to bring out rehash models. There will inevitably be a ps5 slim and ps5 pro at some point.

At that performance yeah. I wouldn't be expecting too much more for £450 anyway tbh. I'd also find it hard to justify 200 more for a 3080. Though it's the 20gb 3080 I'd be interested in and I doubt they will be cheap. Similar situation as to when I bought the Fury Tri X over the more expensive 980ti. It wasn't as fast but was much cheaper and did what I wanted it to .

Could lose opening FE prices.
This is my worry.

Going to go for 3080FE as I fear stock will be limited on these bad boys

I think you are being now too negative there humbug, were as before you were a bit too optimistic.
Truth is, it will probably be somewhere in the middle.

80cu Navi has probably long dead as a gamers gpu.

I don't see anything wrong with a Xbox clone, smallish 16gb of ram and probably more efficient than you think. It just needs to be priced right.

If AMD aren't interested in competing with the 3080 i just want a 16GB card around 5700XT< for <£350, i'm not interested in a £450+ 2080TI<
