When NVIDIA / partners are not giving retailers much info on future supply that's difficult. Hence the refund process should anyone want it.

Not after a refund. Just want to know my position and then decide what to do. Its only fair. Chances are I will wait but at least we also know if there is progress rather than endless silence.

I guess the point here is that you knowing won't make the card arrive sooner. Giving a timeframe only for it to fall, say, a week or 2 further behind will upset more people than those that are satisfied knowing where they are.

But yeah, at least a vague indication would be nice and make people informed enough regarding whether they want to wait. But with nvidia and suppliers being the slowdown - OC would just be setting themselves up for a fall if they provided anything at this point IMO

I just simply cant go back to playing Elite Dangerous on my 1070, or Football Manager, That 3080 delay has ruined my gaming life :D

Seeing that the 3090 is only 10% faster than the 3080, if these benchmarks that are floating around atm are true,
Maybe those who got in late will have the last laugh, as they might get to see what AMD offer and get a better price/performance card

Just created a forums account to add mine:

Asus TUF non-oc
17/9/2020 17:10
586544?

Interesting times. Was trying to buy from 2pm onwards but couldn't get anything into my basket. Guess my 1070 (got from here on launch day) is still ok for now. Got a 970 from here on its launch day too. I don't recall there being this whole worldwide synchronised release then though.

TUF OC £749
17 Sept 15:19:00

If Barclaycard didn't decline my card the first time round I would have almost certainly been in < 15:00

Exactly its not giving an estimated timeframe as that will upset people but at least stating where your position is periodically lets you know how things are and lets you make a decision.

Asus strixx OC

I had to order it the next day because of banking issues, i ordered around 13:45 on the 18th, i really hope i get it within october, gotta be lucky if i get it end of next week

No chance mate. Asus already said before pre-orders went live, that they won't have Strix stock until later next week at the earliest.

Then if you ordered a whole 24 hours after launch, you'll be in for a long wait. :o

I'd have to agree, without sight of the order and delivery pipeline there is nothing you can really determine from queue position and all of this information would be very interesting to competitors so I don't see it happening.

Gibbo is already giving the information he can at the top of this thread and even though he is not allowed to give actual order numbers we can interpret his careful use of language to get an idea of what is on the way.

Once people in the queue start receiving cards they will post here so you'll be able to get a general idea of how the queue is progressing...
