I had some problems with my order appearing on my account so might be the exception to the rule:

Product: MSI RTX 3080 Gaming X Trio
Order Number: 5873715
Date/Time: 17/09/2020 21:18:31

See you next year...

Yeah that could put you as far as 13,700th in line if they are going by order numbers, though would also depend on which GPU you chose

I wouldn't pay £600 for a used 2080Ti, that is slower than a 3080, with what will be sketchy warranty (if any) as Asus RMA is atrocious. 2080Ti is not worth more than about £450 at the top end, with warranty remaining.
Once I get my 3080 I hope to sell my 2080ti (G X TRIO) for around £300 if lucky lol

I see Gibbo waffling on about exchange rates, funny thing Is I am a forex trader, and I can tell you that is complete BULL ****. and you know what else is BULL, charging another £126.66 hidden charge, I did not see until after the order was completed, you can see clearly in my basket pre checkout the price of the card, now let me tell you as a forex trader, a difference of £126.66 between GBP and any rate for that matter would take years, even decade. OCUK have a lot to explain.

That 770.45 is including UK VAT @ 20% - i.e.

633.29 + 20% + 10.50 delivery = 770.45

Thats just the VAT, they are selling it you for the £759 the store page listed when you ordered (which I believe was the same price the Trio listed before sales went live), plus shipping, the orders page just for whatever reason doesn't list the +20% taxes explicitly.

One question I do have is this: With the horrendous backlog OCUK have right now, why on earth are 17 of the 23 cards they offer STILL available for a pre-order purchase?

Surely they know that with all the orders they already have, there is ZERO chance any of these will be fulfilled anytime soon. Even worse that they removed the ETAs from the site as well.

So would it be Conservative to say, there were how many skus?
20?
So let's say your position is divided by 10 to be over careful? Makes it seem a bit more hopeful

They removed the ETAs because they have no idea anymore, and I doubt even the manufacturers and Nvidia do. That seems fine to me. But it does feel like they should just stop orders on all of them, rather than just the EVGA and Zotac ones (and maybe should never have taken any orders for those two, since I suspect they aren't sure when/if they will get any if they are no longer letting people order them).

Isn't that exactly what a pre-order is though? I don't see anything wrong with a retailer letting someone join the back of the line - it's a niche bit of hardware, I can't imagine many people in the market for one wouldn't be aware of the deal now, especially after this week. Anyone buying one now knows that they're not in stock and won't be for a very long time

Obviously wait times should be communicated better and stuff, and you'd hope that once retailers get a clearer idea from suppliers they'll pass that along, but I don't feel like still taking preorders at all is some ridiculous thing for a store to do?

If it helps, I paid via paypal and it was also sat at pending until the mass emails came out at 7pm - even though the payment processed paypal's side immediately.

The time of the order on the (late) confirmation email is the main point here, regardless of how long it took for OC to catch up, he still ordered within 2 mins hence him being a lucky mofo :D
Yeah I've heard mixed results for sure, the only people whom I've seen say they got their order payments confirmed quickly, where all PayPal payers. My Credit Card payment wasn't confirmed until 9:30am the following morning, which is just insane lol. I can't believe how badly people want these cards, it's nuts! I'm going to try for a 3090 also, wish me luck :D

Throwing in my data for yall

No intention of cancelling, not too bothered when it arrives. My 980 has served me well ^_^

Nice name, what if you're waiting until 2021?

I don't mind waiting a bit but if order fulfillment is expected in 3 months time, we should have the right to know as that's not reasonable.
My stocks and bonds would like the money more if i'm waiting a full quarter because I ordered within an hour of a paper release.

PLEASE HELP

My OC order time on the site says 15:15 this is the time I got the payment authorization email from both amazon and OC, but my Amazon order date says "Order date 14:34" which one should I be looking at???
