If you are one of those people that will be entirely happy with stock performance there is nothing to double-check but if you want a top binned chip this time around then the top tier cards from each manufacturer will be the only way to get one.

If it can run constantly boost 1950mhz like a lot of after market cards that can keep it cool then I'm happy, just worried about them being dud especially considering it was £140+ more expensive than other cards which could do 1950mhz boost on their cooler. Just makes me worried its going to be a dud when its default mode is designed to have a slower boost than reference design especially considering the price of the card.

Will see when I get it, probably just return it if it performs so badly. Still I'm still thinking whether to go for the 3090 but same time I can't imagine using more than 10gb vram for anything.

If I can say one positive thing about this graphics card launch it's this forum thread! The hilarity that has ensued and some of the comments and discussions that have taken place are just pure comedy. It honestly feels like that quote "Some men just want to see the world burn" even though it's horrible you just want to watch.

My two pence, I will be keeping my pre order for now on my MSI Ventus, but will also be regularly checking over websites for stock updates. However I will not lose any sleep over it. However this forum thread on the other hand.... :D

But that information is useless on its own,

How many cards do AIB make with other launches?
How many pre orders/back orders do EVGA have? I think there are 2000 on Ocuk alone.
Saying there are 1000s of cards coming this week is useless if the worldwide backlog of orders is 50,000 for your cards. Its still going to take you until next year to clear them.,

So yeah 1000s coming online this week will be good news if there are only 2-3000 preorders worldwide.

Hence know one side of the equation is not enough,.

Its like before the launch when people were saying that everywhere will have stock for 2pm, I kept reminding them that was fine that ocuk might have 500 or even a 1000 cards but no good if 30,000 were trying to buy them.
We can use Zotac as an example here. They advised they received 20,000 pre-orders and it would take them approx. a month to catch up.

Or maybe there wasn't much interest in it overall as it was still at MSRP of £649.99 around 5pm.

It had that price on page but when you went to Checkout it had gone up by £50 to £698.99, so I guess many did not bother maybe. That was a 17:40 and later.
My brother and I did and then see it come down by £9 to the £689.99 later on in the evening.

if this is to be beleived, I'm #214 for the Gigabyte Gaming card. Just gotta be patient and wait :) October might be realistic but more likely november, subject to lockdown 2.0 shennanigans :(

I'm late to the party posting on this thread. However, I ordered what I thought was the ASUS TUF 3080 (well at least my wife did on my behalf while I was at work) and she actually ordered the TUF OC variation. In hindsight that might worked in my favour given that the standard TUF version appears to be a lot more popular.

Using that website posted earlier:-

Order# 58714**
Date 18/09/20
Time 10:49
Model ASUS TUF OC

The queue number is showing as 808, although I have absolutely no reference for whether that's a good or bad thing...

Cancelled my Gigabyte Eagle as I really don't game on PC enough to justify having £660 of my money sitting in someone else's bank account. Will wait and see the 3070/ Big Navi benchmarks.

To no 329 in queue for the card, you're welcome :p

Finally received my order #. But I think I was put in back of the Queue since im number 961
Does this make sense?
Asus Strix OC
Time: 22:47
Date: Sept 17
Price: £724.99

How am I so far back in the queue if my order seems like it was one of the early orders?

That’s a pretty late order, I ordered at 2:40 and there’s a thousand orders total ahead of me. We worked out order numbers kind of sky rocketed after the first hour since more people could access the site

Nearly 9 hours after launch isn't really early.

I got an order for OC Strix in after 30 mins and there will still be many in front of me - and that's when the website was still, for the most part, dead.

Even so - I'm (estimated) 46 back after 30 mins, so say 46 every 30 mins on average for 9 hours comes out at 874. I'd say you're lucky to be under 1000 but that's just me haha

What sort of time did you get your order through? ...I also ordered a TUF on Thursday 17th but I have not received an email from OcuK still with an order number so I only have the OC one from the website, I might be able to make a a very, very rough guess knowing your time.

I didn't get a confirmation email, but can see the order in my order history and did receive the OOS email.

Put it this way, i ordered about 17 minutes before you an im around 9000 orders before the earliest order at 14:02 i think. Not sure how far back you are in terms of specific cards but in terms of total orders... yeah 9000 mate.
