I was one of the mugs on the night that fell for the MSI trio => stock ETA 18-09-2020, totally my fault, I don't know how I could have been so naive :)

I believe that this Stock ETA notice being up all evening on the 17th was the main factor in why so many ordered this particular card from here. I checked on the queue calculator and I was around 1570's lol (after I had canceled, btw, I've decided to wait til after Xmas and get a 3080 Founders Edition).

Am I reading this right? Despite the card launching last week, orders and payment taken, many people won't be receiving their card for days, even weeks? That's a pretty hopeless launch. Surely launch day demand can be modelled/forecast pretty accurately. Why didn't launch wait until there was sufficient product in the retail channels?

Could be months for some people!

Yep, that was my reason for ordering it - my first choice would have been the Asus TUF. However, I'm at position 47 and the MSI card does have pretty decent reviews so think I'll stick with it. :)

Ordered a Gigabyte Gaming OC at 14:33 on the 17th. The queue calculator estimated that I was around 32 in order for the card.

My order status turned to "Order Shipped or ready to collect" roughly 20 minutes ago. Seems like OC may have received a small batch of gigabyte gaming OC cards today (when I ordered, the ETA was in fact 21st September on the site which also gives me hope).

Haven't received an email yet about my delivery so I am tempering my excitement, but this may give gigabyte gaming OC purchasers some hope!

Don't give me hope! I ordered at 14:34...

That's for the Gigabyte Eagle OC though, was it that one?
