Problem is what other largescale OEM's will offer that? Lenovo and HP? not sure what their offerings are like currently.

For AMD CPU laptops, Lenovo and HP are well ahead of dell and will probably stay that way.

Dell deffo the worst out of the 3 for AMD laptop choice.

See the video above. The 3080 is a faster card overall, and the increase in fps vs 2080ti is due to this fact. The RT acceleration performance improvement from Turing to Ampere is 10% or less

Except that Quake 2 is fully path traced.

Still some local retailers here trying to push Intel in your face. Me and a mate were in this shop for his new build and got a tall tale from the owner about his 3800x system and it ran too hot and blah blah blah. Said he had no choice but to get the Intel they are "just better" . I pulled him the review of the exact processor he bought (10700k) and the 3800x ran cooler. 96c when oc to 5.1 the 10700k was too...So yeah some of them are still talking nonsense.
Funny though, my mate insisted nah "I just want the Ryzen".
Hehe..... they probably get kickbacks from Intel for pushing their crap.

I know most wont want to accept it, but some of these things arent actually AMD's fault. There will be some faulty ones but similar failures occur to nvidia cards too, like people say though, everyone remembers the AMD problems.. quick to forgive the nvidia ones! ;)

Yeah, the 5700XT has driver issues when i first got it, that is well documented in the drivers thread. :D

The 1070 it replaced was not perfect, it had its driver problems too.

AMD loses incredible amount of orders by the minute.

Look at what happens for the RTX 3080:
ZOTAC received 20,000 orders for GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity through Amazon alone

At least, some discussions about Navi 21 and Navi 22 are going on:

I've now got confirmation for both : > Navi21 16GB VRAM > Navi22 12GB VRAM I have no idea if these are full die or cut down SKUs

I said it before, the problem AMD have with a release this long, 3 moths? After Nvidia is no matter how good they are whose going to buy them? sure some people are waiting, the vast majority of people are making their GPU upgrades now, they are not waiting 3 months.

Well they are, because the only Ampere SKU available has no stock. The other two aren't even out yet. You can't upgrade to something that you can't get your hands on.

You mean the purple shirt guys yeah, they even play that damn Intel jingle before the advert even starts so you're left in no doubt "Buy INTEL!". Mindshare and I wouldn't be surprised if someone said they're sponsored by Intel. And lets be honest most people will buy their PC hardware from the likes of the purple shirt guys.

See i cannot fathom how people can complain about AMD drivers from years ago and still label AMD as fail because of it, try the damn cards and make a judgement based off current facts, not some rumour mill or experiences from a millennium ago lol.

I did read a few people had blackscreen issues with 5700XT cards, i bet though that came down to hardware issues elsewhere with the PC's, i run X570 so PCIE4, and never once had issues with my 5700XT and ive used pretty much every set of drivers they released, often installing directly over the top.

I've had no more issues with AMD drivers than Nvidia's, less honestly there was a Gsync issue with windowed or borderless had endless black screening and "driver has stopped working and recovered" errors was tearing my hair out over it for an age they fixed it eventually but damn.

True, its a paper launch at the moment with limited availability but it looks like AMD are going to have their paper launch in November.

I'm happy with the 3600 for now, looking to AMD again for a better GPU tho...
It's alright for you, your on 3rd generation I'm still on 1st. I wouldn't be super confident about sticking a big navi card in with this processor. It would work but far from optimal.

Someone posted tweets on the Nvidia thread showing people receiving emails that their 3080 is delayed to January 2021.

AMD has the chance to release something these days and offload the manufacturing capacity pressure off Samsung.
Obviously, Samsung is not ready to give enough wafer starts.
