AMD Navi 23 ‘NVIDIA Killer’ GPU Rumored to Support Hardware Ray Tracing, Coming Next Year

You're going way overboard. A second chip like that is possible. A 2 sided shroud and fan on (as was expected then ) 7nm TSMC process would not be necessary for cooling and would absolutely be there for another purpose.

It's also true that AIBs only have an AMD GPU that performs 15% faster than the 2080TI in their hands.

If you think Coreteks assuming that's the flagship is malicious, then you must have watched a maximum of 2 other videos he's ever released.
I've only pointed out that his information isn't accurate. That's not going "overboard".
However, we aren't in the "coulda, woulda, shoulda". There is no co-processor on the 3080. You claiming "it could have been" is now showing that you are going way overboard. And yes, I do believe there is hidden agenda claiming that Big Navi is slower then a 3070 when he has no proof of the claim.

So do we have any idea when team red are actually going to reveal anything yet?

well I doubt you’ll get anything meaty on RDNA2 officially until their event in late October.

I would only expect hints, vague inferences and “leaks” between now and then. To do otherwise would seriously undermine their launch event - who would care about the big reveal if all has already been revealed!

Haha this guy is something else, in the first vid after ampere releases he starts off by basically saying 'yeah i got the coprocessor wrong, but i got lots right too! But i don't really care about whether i get things right, but I got stuff right!'
Exactly,
:D

Anyway, word on the street is AMD are seeding this 2080ti +15% card to aibs, and that it is the two fan design that's floating around. Aibs only K own about that. 3 fan design, big Navi, made in house only by amd so no one knows anything about it until it releases. So, it might not be entirely his fault he's bad. Still not worth anyone's time though
There was an article a long time ago that suggested that AMD has leaked out incorrect information to AIBs (from a prior gpu release) to find out which AIBs leaked info. So it's very probable that is the case here via omission of what sku it relates to.

Most of the people who'd drop information or leak from ATI/AMD have disappeared (moved to other companies and/or left the industry, etc.) over the last ~6 years or so - I guarantee you unless someone comes out with very specific [detailed] information it is 99% likely to be BS. (The way these companies operate these days there are very few people these days who know much until closer to the time and those that do it just isn't worth their jobs).

This thread is gold of late lol.

I'm excited for the AMD cards. I need something that uses less power than Nvidia's ampere offerings if possible, and I would hope so given its going in the consoles.

I do think RT comes into play this time though with some big titles set to use it. I wonder if we will see the same crap from Nvidia with deliberste overuse of RT like with tessallation in crysis 2 (?) When they intentionally tessallated the hell out of flat surfaces to impact AMD. Real crappy tactic.

I hope AMD beat Nvidia on rasterisation, but I can't see how they can get close with raytracing.

I've got a 3080 on order just for RT. How important is RT to those who are waiting on AMD?
Have to say, if the new AMD card didn't have any RT on it, I'd not bat an eyelid if the performance was epic for rasters... really doens't bother me for this gen as the RT performance on 3000 series still isn't good enough at 4k, so once again it's something I'd immediatley turn off. But that's just me tbh... I can see why people would want it though and I'm i'm sure in time it will be the default, but we're at least 1 gen off that being the norm right now... possibly 2?

It's an odd one really, here's a question, does it really make much of a difference, so say in BF5 or something like that rather than something old like minecraft and Quake... they're easy to make better... I'm thinking of something that already look epic on ultra settings like BF5... and the higher the res say from 1080 > 4k, does that start to make RT shine more? I'd expect so? However from the videos I've seen (and the problem here is degradation in PQ on youtube etc which may negate the impovements), from someone who actually uses it, does it make much difference? I've nto seen anything that would make me go wow... it's worth having at the minute... be interesting to see how development unfolds for it now we have higher fps with the 3000 series.

So before extolling the virtues of the power efficiency of the 5700 XT, get your measurements right.

I can tell you the people working at TPU know what they are talking about and you don't. The bar chart isn't what you are seeing because you don't have a clue.

;-) have a nice day

From previous AMD Radeon launches I remember that the real thing has always been disappointing compared to the speculation discussions in the forums.
Let's hope that this time this "GameCache" is closer to the reality and RDNA 2 brings some ground-breaking innovations and performance uplift for the Radeon lineup.
