Yea all ok pre order and to be honest the ones in stock are single digits so pre order is best option as prevents anyone ordering something showing in stock but the website not updating in time and turning out they missed out. Whereas pre order is assume no stock but then get pleasant surprise of a shipping notification and they will be lucky people as suspect there will be 100’s If not 1000’s of people attempting to order in first few minute.

Were implementing more precautions and locking down our site more to try and ensure things run a bit better but with these levels of demand it’s hard work as even some of the more advanced sites still went down.

I'm one of the people that ordered a 3080 "in stock 10+" paid extra for next day delivery before 12. Took the day off work to wait for it coming . And 3 hours after my card was supposed to arrive I was hit with a thanks for my pre order email when I pre ordered nothing. Then I spent 2 hours on the phone to be hung up on. Now you tell me that some folk that pre ordered cards "out of stock" get theirs first. What kinda shop is it you run down there? The backwards shop?

I've spend thousands of pounds with you guys over the years and you've been great every time (though I miss the haribo ) Please don't let me down this time.

If its not your fault and you are under NDA blink twice.

Should honestly be criminal for Nvidia to be able to enforce NDAs regarding stock post launch. Really feel for the OCUK staff as it's not their fault, but when payments have been taken people should be able to get a rough idea on when to expect product. Such scummy practices by Nvidia.

Are you really this naive? You either ordered your card while the site was dying due to extreme demand, or you ordered it sometime after 14:05 when all of the stock was gone. Either way, you should have realised that there was a good chance you weren't getting that card - doubly so when you didn't even receive the confirmation email. Nor did you see any kind of dispatch notice from the site.

You'll get your card in the order that you're in the queue. You're not going to get bypassed by anyone ordering after you.

As you can see form my post count I don't really follow the forum. I've never been involved in a card launch.

I went onto the site and saw the new cards where out. The site worked fine and said they were in stock and gave me the option to pay for extra fast delivery.. I had no reason to doubt this.

So I guess I am naive enough to expect a shop I've used many times before over the years to operate the way it normally does.

Good news is I'm no 240 for my card apparently. Might get it before next year.

I’ve just moved up from 332 to 298 in the queue for a ZOTAC card :D

I’m guessing some people of the 12% of ZOTAC orders have submitted their order numbers and they were after me (21:17:35) :p

Do we have any estimations on the Aorus cards yet? I ordered one in the 17th, but I move house next month, am I right to assume I'll most likely move home before my card is shipped? In which case do I need to phone support to change delivery address?

Aorus discord server says they are looking to release at the start of october, they are still tweaking the cards hence why the boost clock hasn't been confirmed.

I ordered a pny rtx 3080 and only one to have one ordered in the forum. will i get mine anytime soon?

Guy on the hardocp forum reporting a 15c increase in ram temps with the fe card.

https://hardforum.com/threads/i-bought-a-rtx-3080-today.2001394/post-1044735503

In a GN video they tested it and supposedly it only increased RAM temperature if your intake/airflow was insufficient in the first place (though technically that could always be true) and they actually saw a decrease over a 2080 or 2080ti (can't remember which) with sufficient cool air being brought in the front of the case. I don't believe they elaborated on what was "sufficient" though heh.

All I've seen for the watch dogs: legion is the game codes expire on Nov 29th, Which would be unfortunate because I was going to play it, So it seems that I'm going to have to pay for it if I hit the dead end before my card comes :( But I'm hopeful.

Edit: Actually unless I misinterpreted it, As I've also read that the "The GeForce Now code must be redeemed by November 30", So that should mean the legion code would be available till the 29th, As it was stated the offer was from the 17th sep - 29th Oct

Thats pretty low man, I've been on the receiving end of something like that, where they made up something an hour before the cut off date... not nice

It's also pretty low to buy a card at launch (or festival ticket etc) with no intention of using it, then selling for an extortionate price, putting someone else out of pocket, just you can make a few quid. Selfish people.

Sorry but these ***ts get what they deserve. Horrible people.
If I had £1100 in the bank I might do the same to teach em a lesson, NOT because I'm desperate for a 3080 (I mean I am, I sold my 2080 and now have no pc).

I'll wait to see what amd brings to the table, and what that does to prices. Personally I think the 10gb vram is a bit of a rip off, and think nvidia will release higher vram options to fight amd.

What's everyone's estimations for when stock will be OK? Xmas?
Amd need to release before nvidia sort their stock out. Perfect opportunity.

I am also without a PC until my TRIO comes in. My first PC build so when I was told to wait for the new GPU to drop, let's say I was a little naive as to how this would work. I'm not even using it for gaming either. 3D rendering of huge confocal microscopy datasets. Any recomendations for a cheap GPU to hold me over in the mean time? I can wait a bit, but I have to see if all my other parts are working before my 30 day return period is up.

P.S. 2005 in que. Assuming time they were asking for in the calculator is London time (GMT)?

10GB of G6X has 760GB/s of Bandwidth which is extremely high and way overkill for every game out right now at 4k, I don't see 10GB of G6X not being enough until maybe 4 years where you'll want to upgrade anyways. Vram amount is not the same as Vram bandwidth.
