EVGA announced on twitter yesterday saying millions of cards available starting this week and would be distributed to all retailers.

Calm down, they said thousands* and meant over the coming weeks, not all this week.

They never said they were coming to the UK either, pretty much all going to US far as we can tell :D

EVGA </3 UK

So you mean my que is moving backwards? Instead of ahead of some orders that was placed after me? I dont get it.

I expect it's working like this:

Joe (order number 1001), John (order number 1002) and Paul (order number 1003) all submit their order numbers for 'X Brand' RTX 3080. Based on this data Joe is number '1' in the queue. Jim comes along and submits order number 1000, therefore Joe is now 2nd in the queue. Now imagine this with thousands of order numbers.

Remember that there could be hundreds of people who are not spods like us, checking the forums who have not submitted their numbers.

P.S. we are not getting cards until the end of October, we have to face it now and not get upset.

The number in the queue changes purely from the split ratio between the different GPU SKUs, which fluctuates as more users submit their data

So i pre ordered msi gaming trio and last time i checked, my que is at 2676 and now im at 2829, what is goin on???
As others have said its just the queue estimator, which is an unofficial python script created by @DEADMONSTOR, getting more data and shifting slightly. All it is doing is taking your order number, subtracting the order number from the earliest we know about (there was one at 13:58), and and using the rations from the now 1850+ submissions in the spreadsheet @shaan200 put together to scale it up to match the 10000-15000+ orders we're estimating OC had based on order numbers.

So, it is completely guess work, will change as more data is added to the model, and is likely more innacurate the later your order is (which with a 2500+ MSI number is either very late, or like me your order number was assigned late and the estimator isn't useful for you anyway) since while the site was crashing in the first hours we can be pretty sure no one bothered making orders without a GPU, since then normal orders will certainly have been made, and without data on those (and cancellations, and phone orders, and weirdos like me with anomlously high numbers vs order time) the calculation will drift (I'd guess we've past the threshold on accuracy increase with more data, and now it will slowly get worse as factors that skew it increase).

As far as EVGA goes, there isn't much Gibbo can say until they decide to answer.

This is why unlike almost all the other cards, you cannot currently place even a pre-order with OCUK for an EVGA 3080.

Also it isn't that EVGA are ignoring the UK, they are currently ignoring every market outside of the USA as far as we can tell from EVGA rep tweets.

Just from those wondering, the EVGA situation has nothing to do with Brexit. They've shafted all European retailers as all stock is currently exclusive to North America.
Doubt we'll EVGA cards in Europe before Christmas, unless you're buying from U.S. Ebay scalpers.

It's been a very bizzare week hasn't it and a lot of work.

Positives:

Preordered: MSI 3080 from OCUK, PS5 from Game, Xbox SX from Amazon.

Negatives:

The guy that bought my 2080ti has damaged it by installing the stock fans but claiming it was faulty. Sadly as a business seller, I have no option but to refund him and take the card back, such is ebay's crappy policy. I did report him however and he got very ranty via email that eBay have penalised him. He clearly knew it was me that did it and I really don't care. Will try and get the card repaired if possible by EVGA, see if they will do it.

So very much like life. There are negatives and positives to be had from this week.
Same thing happened to my 290x back in a day learned to not sell watercooled cards with stock fan just with Block !!!

Yes. 2676 went to 28**

From my understanding of the maths, it's due to percentages changes to the proportion of models ordered and number of order numbers.

"((yourOrderNumber -
5860140) / knownBuyers) * cardTypePercentage"

To be honest I would disregard this figure as very rough and wait for OC's solution. Not taking away from the tool (thanks @DEADMONSTOR and @shaan200) - it's solid logic but can only be as good as the limited data we have.

Mid/end of November would say and yes all what we have is to wait.

Guys stop with this Brexit/Boting and other crap. Shortages ware told long time before lunch as the real reason of all shortages is cov19 crap as factories didn't operate for weeks!

All whats left is to pray people at factory are happy to do overtime to make sure you get your card before Christmas ;)

Haven't seen any mention in here about the process of when a card comes back in to stock...

I am just thinking for the few rare people who have managed to get there card so far which have shown pictures of their beauty rather than... OMG I GOT THE EMAIL SAYING ITS COMING.

Do you get another email with information about shipping and its on its way etc. Or is it more of a case like *DING DONG* SURPRISE HERES YOUR CARD!
